Great to work with pre-event, not so great at delivery on the day. Staff appeared not to have been briefed on all agreed tasks. Disappointed by quality of service given image portrayed and cost. PRE-EVENT Charming and friendly in the planning stages. Very flexible as our vision for the day changed substantially. Good on email as bride was planning from abroad. Open to multiple visits from family members and taste testing sessions. Gave reassurance to bride's family at a stressful time. EVENT DAY Delivered on some but not all of the pre-agreed plan. Failed to pick up on things that would seem like the staple jobs of catering company. Major error on food labeling. Waiting staff unenthusiastic about delivery. Set up quickly and efficiently. Food quality was good (guests enjoyed the spice) but mixed up the labels for the meat and vegetarian biriyani, and bride's lifelong vegetarian friend took meat by mistake. Staff unhelpful in correcting this mistake. Not all starters were presented in the way that had been agreed. Waiters not great at topping up glasses in champagne reception or putting wine on tables at dinner, as agreed, so lots of empty glasses while people were eating. Not enough clean plates for guests to take main course. Lights not switched on where guests were eating main course. Bar well-run, with additional flexibility of staying open for longer, requested by the groom on the night. But did not bring out some of the spirits until an hour before the end. POST-EVENT Attempted several times to communicate review privately over email to Shaziana, with various holding responses, but no formal explanation of the issues raised. We had the most wonderful experience with Shaziana for our summer event. Their attention to detail was impressive and they liaised with the marquee company to facilitate an elegant and spacious layout of tables and buffet stations. Their innovative way of serving street and international food was adored by all, yet none of the authentic flavours of the Pakistani or Middle Eastern cuisine was sacrificed for aesthetics. The staff was amenable and attentive and Saqib had a watchful eye over the whole proceedings. The interface between client and service provider was proficiently carried out by Samira who left nothing to chance and diligently documented all our wishes and then expedited them promptly. We cannot thank Shaziana enough for truly completing our wedding day with the most amazing food. Right from the first phone call through to the wedding day itself, Shaziana have been so professional and knowledgeable throughout. Saqib has been great to work with, had tonnes of fresh ideas and was always at the end of a phone if any questions needed answering. As our wedding was dual heritage, our menu really complimented both our families background, including certain dishes from each which Shaziana produced perfectly. All our wedding guests absolutely loved the menu, from the canapés to the main banquet itself and every guest was looked after. Shaziana's food and service on our wedding day was second to none and all food was to the highest quality and presented flawlessly.
