The seating is lacking, uncomfortable, and has no real accomodations for the handicapable. Their productions are often ripoff of old 80s films with unclever title and character name changes. Music is canned, audio is hit or miss, lighting leaves a lot to be desired, badly timed changes and intermissions, overall feels almost High School Drama Quality. Not worth admission fees. The environment... It smells reminiscent of old sweaty gym socks, the building design is confusing and inconvenient, the seating area looks almost like it was once a pool or gym or something, the stage is tiny, it feels as if everything about this place is a hand me down after thought that reaks of B.O. As a patron of the arts and retired performer/director, I love supporting local theatre, thankfully there are other options in this town. Sorry the review is negative, I hate writing bad reviews. Hopefully you can use this as constructive criticism and work on it. I always give multiple chances and hopefully I can edit this in the future as a 5 star.

What feels almost impossible to ever get tickets to attend a show, my grandma was able to secure…read moretickets for the December 26 "A Christmas Star" and the "Oasis in Space" shows a whole month in advance. I can see why that they sell out fast; 65-ish seats inside the viewing area under the dome. I recommend sitting in the last 2 rows for optimum viewing when looking up. However, as a Christian believer, the story of "A Christmas Star" was special to watch with an interesting perspective on the North Star. There was an intermission between both shows where the exhibits were opened up for people to walk up to interact and explore. The exhibits were within the same room, so a very small space. Half of the people left after the first show. The small gift shop at the entrance of the planetarium was open as well. Oasis in Space was more of a show regarding our solar system which was interesting, but nothing too exciting like the first show. I am glad I got to have this experience of coming here to this little Redding, CA gem as I am a lover of stars and planets. Just know that you will need to book tickets in advance!
