i was served papers i was being sued. i had 30 day to get a lawyer .i called Mr. Sharp while i was in n.c. . He said, I take your, he said dropped off your paper work at my office, which i did . i then drove home to my home in nj . Three weeks go by i didn't hear from mr Sharp, so i called him. He then tells me I can't take your case , i ask him why , he does not even give me a reason. Why couldn't he have just called me 3 weeks ago . like i said i had 30 days to get a attorney. this left me 7 days to get a attorney... This is why people hate attorneys. We have been dealing with Mr. Sharp for 2 1/2 years now since my girlfriends fathers passing. Starkey Sharp has shown nothing but unprofessionalism. He doesn't keep in touch, doesn't respond back to emails, calls and so forth. We are dealing with an estate issue which happens to be taking "WAY" too long to get the estate closed and disbursed to such accounts. I'd assume that the money is just sitting and making interest but I'm not going to make false statements. Anywho his assistant is quite unprofessional as well as we try to call once or twice a week and he sure is never in his office what so ever to take our call, so she takes our "message and relays it to him". I strongly believe that nothing gets to him or he blatantly does not care to call with an update. This is family funds he is supposed to be working on disbursing. We are in awe of his poor work performance and I suggest anyone deciding to use him think otherwise as you will not have any follow ups on your case and or you won't be able to ever get into contact with him. 1st time buying a house and we unfortunately used this place to close on our loan. .We never received anything in the mail telling us the steps needed to close (ex. Didn't tell us to wire the down-payment) and we drove from California to North Carolina and when we arrive and did everything we were told to do before we left this office lost our closing paperwork 3 times and lucky we were able to have family wire the large down-payment because our bank was still in California. The process took forever and was very disorganized. Finally at the end we were told we would receive a phone call as soon as the property was recorded at the courthouse, its been a week and we still haven't received that call yet... I don't know if that just the way this process works because we're 1st time homeowners but it was very stressful at the least. read more
