Dude was like "say no more" like those memes and took it upon himself to just shave off most of my facial hair... If you were to look at my face and my beard you would see that my beard really compliments me. I truly feel like this dude didn't take his time to assess a proper cut. I'm not sure if I'm stressing this enough, he took the biggest clippers he could find and just took it down to a light stubble. I had A LOT of beard at the time too... I said a trim not a shave and he didn't even pause. No finesse just hacked it off. Didn't even use a goddamned straight razor to clean up the stubble. This caused me a ton of stress for a few weeks. PEACE! Man oh man…read moreI don't even know where to start! So I've been visiting this barbershop for a while now, on an on again off again basis. It was until recently or several months ago rather that I made up my mind to keep this barbershop as my shop of preference. I was introduced to an old client of the shop who would bring my son in for cuts and I'd always remember the owner Damian in the first chair pressuring me to let him cut me. I always refused as at that time I already had my barber of choice located elsewhere. That coupled with the fact I didn't just let anyone cut my hair. Fast forward, I let more than barber in the shop cut me and I fell in love with my cuts everytime. I've been cut by 4 barbers at this particular shop with the exception of one barber I won't name, I've been nothing short of satisfied! I also must add that the cuts here are pricier than your average barbershop and although it took me a while to get used to, I support it. Why you ask? It's a simple concept actually. My mother always taught me, "you get what you pay for". It has become almost a (neighborhood)ritual of mine before a night out to come by Classic with a peer of mine, get fresh cuts together and chop it up with the great brothas at Classic. We talk everything from our cars to current events, to the countless bits of wisdom the owner sends my way. Classic Barbershop has become a home for me. Everyone is familiar with me at the shop and I get nothing but love here! I looked up the Yelp, saw two bad reviews and was immediately perturbed. How can such a classy and clean establishment with above par skilled barbers receive such poor reviews!? I then took them with a grain of salt and there was only two reviews. Therefore, I made the decision to play my part and review the true Classic barbershop for what it is and not write a negative review based on one bad experience. This review has been well overdue! I love this barbershop! It's black owned, the name epitomizes the establishment and I'm treated like family there! They offer great services like hot towel shaves as well a hair salon located directly upstairs in case your Lady may be with you. FYI: my guy is Steven! He is a phenomenal barber! He is attentive, focused, and he is adamant about not only giving what you requested, but assuring you are gratified with the end result! The experiences I've had here has hands down won me over as a lifelong client! Classic barbershop, sans personal bias is a 5star establishment and deserves NOTHING SHORT OF IT!

It's a west indian barbershop full of interesting personalities and great barbers. No wrong decision with Ray, Marlon, Martin, Buggy, or Pops cutting your hair, though Pops and Buggy normally cut the older customer's hair. They talk Politics, Religion, Sports, about each other, and are still able to laugh about it and do their job. Don't come up in here tryin to start any mess. Even though I haven't seen it, I know there are a couple cutlass' around the shop somewhere, lol. There is a bathroom inside. Please don't bring food inside (it says so on the front door.) Finally, be patient. There are some days you can walk in and walk right out afterwards. There are other days that it can take you a couple hours. Do not walk out and think that your spot will be held. The rest of us that tip well and respect them will take your place in the chair, lol. Come get your cuts from here!

just some feedback for your business ;…read more I had an Appointment with Johnney Fade I'm trying to understand why I am making an appointment on Booksy and when I get there 1 someone is in the chair ( ok fine ) but then you telling me I gotta wait another 20 for some else after the person in the chair to get there cut when I am schedule for 9:30; very unprofessional if there was a delay you owe it to the customer to update the Booksy and let them know the appt has been pushed back ; this is the second time this has happened; at least shoot a text inform the customer before they get there that you are behind schedule ; the fade game prides it self on being the most reliable barbershop and from the experience I've had it's not at all ! Value your customers time ! I have came here multiple times Once had an Appointment with champagne he was behind schedule then says can you give me another 15 I have to eat ? Are you serious ? Time is valuable if I am booking the appt in the morning it's a for a reason ! Eat before you come to work or on your lunch break this is a business !
