I found out about TF via Groupon. I had always wanted to try a boot camp, so I gave it a go. I'm in…read moremy second week now and I actually look forward to working out! that's a first for me... ever! The staff is quick to help; motivate and welcome you. Kim in the mornings is awesome! I look forward to working with her every day. Like a lot of the other reviews mention; I don't even feel like I've been there an hour; it goes by so fast! But the workouts are intense and are set up in a way that I always feel motivated to push myself. (More than I ever have before) I am happy to report that I am signing up for a year membership; as well as their 6 week body transformation that starts in a couple of weeks. (Nutrition based). If you haven't found a gym or program that works for you, I urge you to try TF for a month!

I first learned about Torched on Facebook. I was hesitant to get started but bit the bullet and…read moresigned up for a boot camp. WOW. I have belonged to several gyms over the years and they don't hold a candle to Torched. I went to 24 Hour Fitness for the hours but it didn't stick. I tried Club Fitness for the price but it was really intimidating and I wound up feeling lost and out of place the whole time. I gave up on gym life for a while but eventually was lured to Planet Fitness by their promise of a no judgement zone. Sure, I never felt judged but it also never felt like a gym. It was too easy to talk myself into biking for ten minutes then getting a massage. Eventually I wound up using it pretty much just for the tanning. So fast forward to the beginning of 2018 and I'm the heaviest I've ever been, looking at a rigorous work/school schedule, and trying to have a baby with my husband. I needed a change. So I signed up for Torched and had a sit down with Jeremy, the head dude. We talked about my goals and about where I had failed - nix that - where my gyms had failed me before. I bought his sales pitch and decided to try out the 6 week boot camp because, worst case scenario, it's only six weeks, right? DUDE. I was a little nervous the first day because I've never done this sort of pseudo-cross-fit-circuit-training type of thing before. The trainer, Daniel, was a star, though, and walked me through it step by step. The second day was easier, then the third, until suddenly I realize I'm three weeks in and I'm LOVING IT. I go at 5am and see pretty much the same people every week. I feel like I'm making friends - I look forward to seeing them and working out with a great group of people keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward when I'm tired and want to stop. Everyone I've met has been friendly and kind and motivated to work hard and do better. The trainer in the morning, Emily, is brilliant. I pulled a muscle and hurt my knee (not at the gym!) during the boot camp and she was right there with me during my workouts to make sure that I was taking care of my injuries while still getting the most out of my time. Well, sadly I didn't finish the boot camp, but for good reason. The last week I found out I'm pregnant! I sat down with Jeremy again and we talked it all through. He's super supportive and is dedicated to making sure that I can still have a safe, effective workout throughout my pregnancy. I signed up for a whole year! Never in my life did I ever think that *I* would love going to the gym (mostly because video games are amazing and pizza is like crack). I guess it took finding the right gym.

I'm a huge OTF fan and have been for the past 5 years. Although my home studio is Rock Hill and I'm…read morepretty biased to that location, I decided to workout with a friend whose studio is Concord. I had to come write a review about my experience yesterday. A young man that works at the desk stepped up and coached class with the scheduled coach was a no show. He could have easily cancelled class I'm sure, or problem solved in some other aspect. However, he stepped up and coached... when he isn't a coach. I can imagine this was super nerve wracking as there's a lot of management when it comes to a class. I was super grateful that he did this and I got my workout in for the day. He did way better than I could and I was impressed. I am unsure of his name, but props to him!! :) Thank you!!

What can I say? OTF is a game changer for me! I'm a self proclaimed OTF addict and I never felt so enthusiastic to go. Every session is different and every session I always push myself to exceed my previous numbers. OTF is a group class scheduled hourly that has super enthusiastic trainers and great music playlists (lol). You're given a heart monitor (that you have to purchase if you decide to become a member) and there's a huge tv screen that lets you know your oxygen consumption, heart rate, and splat points. Generally, you want to remain in the orange zone and gain at least 12 splat points to further your caloric expenditure. Cons: it's a little pricey. They have different packages for you to purchase. I started off with an 8 session package ($99) and used it up in 2 weeks so I forced myself to get the unlimited. Pros: muscle definition, stamina, and leaving every session with a smile. Also, you can workout at different locations - even out of state!

The helpful salesman also ended up calling us and letting us know that a demo machine was available and would save us some money if we didn't mind that it was used as a display at a fitness show. We had the home gym delivered and the delivery company was professional and did a great job. The first time that we used the gym we realized that we really didn't need the leg press part of the gym and thought that maybe another machine would be a better fit. We went back to the store and asked if we could return the leg press and put it towards a credit for something else.. That was denied.. they don't take back the leg press by themselves (even thou they sold them as 2 pieces) they would only take back the second piece by itself. And because its a demo they would have to charge us another 250 dollars to have the delivery company come take the entire demo gym and bring us a new one. We spent thousands of dollars in this store and had planed to even spend more on some weights and a cardio machine... But we will be taking our business somewhere else that will work with us more on making sure what we buy is suitable for us and if its not will help to make sure we can make changes.
