My insurance company only listed one hand orthopedist. I called this office to make an appointment with that doctor. I was told that they were no available appointments until January. I explained I was in a great deal of pain and needed an appointment immediately.
The office staff was very sarcastic and nasty. She said they had Dr. Shannon available and she said but I was asking for this other doctor nice but I'm only asking for the other doctor because that's who my insurance company has listed.
She plays be on hold, but did not shut off the phone, and I could hear her mocking me about being a "yankee" just being nasty and sarcastic
The woman came back on the phone. She took all of my information including my insurance information at my email address. I was given an appointment for November 17. I am on the autism spectrum. I was flushed it by her sarcasm nastiness, and while I recognize the address. I have another doctor in that complex and I didn't know that to her. I forgot the appointment time.
I never received confirmation of disappointment and when I call to find out exactly what time I wish to be there on November 17. The office tried to tell me that I never called there before they had no record of me ever being a patient there, and I did not have an appointment.
I tried to explain the urgency of my seeing a doctor. They did not care when I spoke with the office manager I try to describe the woman I spoke, too, faced, honest this city, as I interpreted it in our phone conversation, and that said her off on a tangent of her screaming at me.
First off I didn't pull Dr. Shannon's name out of a hat. This was not the name listed on my insurance company. I Ollie new doctor shattered existed in this practice because his receptionist told me.
There are a number of doctors in the practice and they rotate not every doctor is there every day. The only way I knew Dr. Shannon was there on Friday, November 17 is because his receptionist told me that when she gave me an appointment but they are now saying, I don't have.
I would say run don't walk away from this practice. Dr. Shannon might be a great doctor, but his staff of the nastiest people I have ever met in my life.
Patient care accommodating a patient in pain should be first and foremost.
Bei g sarcastic and nasty does not help the patient at all especially when the patient explains that they are on the autism spectrum and ask for some understanding and help making the appointment. read more
