That's not to say any of these is deficient, but it does reflect the level of selection. I've spent most of my time here browsing the beer selection. Her beer selection is quite simply unmatched in Prattville for selection and quality. I've even seen things here that I don't recall seeing at Filet and Vine, and they supposedly have the biggest selection in the area. But for Prattville, this is your best bet to find good beer, a lot from the local area, some from the extended local area (Georgia, Tennessee, etc), and even some good imports (Duvel, Hofbrau). Most impressively, The Queen is willing to accommodate requests. Alabama being what it is (flawed but improving), one is still not able to legally purchase alcohol via the internet and have it shipped into the state. So, you're stuck with whatever the local stores stock. Seeing Queen's well-curated beer selection, I asked whether she could acquire a couple specific beers for me. She was very responsive, and near-immediately checked with her suppliers to see what she could get. Nothing in hand yet, but he fast response and willingness is awesome! The wine selection is also unique, and I get the sense Queen stocks things she likes. The selection is not huge, but it's good. For example, I scored Dr. Loosen Riesling, one of my all-time favorites (and she noted was one of hers as well). It's particularly good if you dig Chardonnay (I don't) or Pinot Noir (sometimes!). I scored a delicious Beaujolais once that I hope comes back in stock! I have yet to try the meats, but hope to soon. I've seen a steady stream of presumably repeat customers buying meats when I've been here, so it must be good. A local butcher is always awesome. For local food, she offers condiments and sauces, local pies, cheese straws, and other local flavor-type things. It's all fine, and a nice venue for local businesses to showcase their offerings but nothing particularly remarkable, I think. Definitely worth your business for great booze, and probably great meat!

I can remember coming home from school and there still being sausages left over from breakfast still on the stove for a perfect after school treat. While other kids had some sugary refined crap, I was eating Deramus sausage with a sweet potatoe... My goodness YUM!! It was my Uncle Bobby's favorite. He couldn't get it in Atlanta and would have my grandmother have 4 packs ready for him to pick up and take back with him every time he came to visit or was just passing through on business or going to his hunting camp in Thomaston or for whatever reason he'd be driving through Montgomery. Every Thanksgiving extended family from Atlanta and Bainbridge, GA, and some from Tallahassee and Ft. Walton Beach, FL would special request DeRamus hot and mild sausages for Thanksgiving Day breakfast. What great food and great times we had! So many people think Conecuh sausage is so good, but it's pretty run of the mill and does NOT hold a candle to the flavor and smell of DeRamus Family brand sausage cooking in a cast iron skillet. For breakfast with eggs or split on a biscuit with gooey hoop cheese or for dinner with buttery basmati rice, you can't go wrong! I pray the DeRamus Family keeps this tradition going for many generations to come.
