The pizza is priced WAY too high. I can understand a specialty pizza costing around $20+, but when it comes to a simple cheese or pepperoni pizza....$18 is a bit ridiculous!! Don't get me wrong, this place is great to bring the family, the kids love the arcade and the pizza is ok. It was nice be seated BEFORE ordering. Usually you place and order and then have to fight for a place to sit because they don't keep track of their occupancy and over sell pizza with not enough seating. So it was nice to be seated first for a change. After the high prices though, I think I'll stick to driving out of my way and going to Hubby's just because of the pricing. I can get a simple $10.99 giant pepperoni pizza for much less money! Not only is it cheaper, it's much larger than Shakey's large. read more

I went here a few weeks ago with my husband, brother-in-law, and a niece and nephew. They had so much fun at the arcade and it was so nice to see the excitement on their face. The arcade can get a bit pricey since it's easy to get carried away. For food, we got pizza and fried chicken and both were GREAT. Good pizza and extra crispy chicken. The service was good too. I totally loved Shakey's , I only give it 4 stars beacuse it is a bit overpriced, although the pizza has a unique flavor, so very tasty unlike any other place, the kids had fun and we Adults did too. I visited Shakey's to attend a birthday party. We just ordered a large pizza. It was on the pricey side $18 two-topping and $1.79 fountain drink, but that's typical for this type of restaurant. We were really looking forward to having pizza that evening, but we were disappointed. The sauce was too sweet for our taste and not nearly enough cheese. Our kids had a lot of fun running around in the game area. But it is noticeably small especially when you get a small crowd of people in there. Good pizza! It is thin and crispy. My favorite is the Texas BBQ pizza Great family restaurant to spend an evening. The salad bar isn't the best but it was the basics. Best pizza on earth. I stopped here when I was moving from Washington to Texas. I got the pepperoni, chicken and mojos deal. Best pizza, chicken and tater's on earth! I wish they could fedex the food to me, as I am now about a 15 hour drive from the nearest Shakeys. I stopped here on a Friday night, and there was a huge (like 15 people at least) number of people waiting in line to order. But the line moved fast, and the food got out quickly, so don't let a long line scare you away. When I'm in town working I try to always make time to have lunch here. One of the best pizza-chicken-salad bar ever. Well maybe not ever, but it is as good as any and better than most. The place is always warm, clean, and welcoming. The gal at the front counter is a great asset to them. She's friendly and nice and always seems happy to see you.The lunch buffet is many great pizza's that are constantly restocked. They will even make one that you like if you ask nice! The fried chicken is typically cooked perfectly, crunchy brown crust with tender moist chicken inside. Salad bar has all fresh lettuces and spinach with an assortment of other toppings. There are other offerings such as roast and BBQ chicken and spaghetti w/sauce, breadsticks and of course a couple of dessert pizzas. I do think a couple of their pizzas are excellent. The others are all good. For 12 bucks w/drink, $10 with water, you can't get a much better lunch anywhere. And finally, for the families out there, a really nice video arcade playroom. I walked into an incredible lunch buffet. The food was hot, fresh, and abundant in an incredible atmosphere. A few things the buffet consisted of were pizza, fried chicken breasts, chicken wings, pasta, desert pizza, and of course salad. The atmosphere is clean with a bar and a game center for the kids. Decent pizza and chicken. Very bad games. All of which are very over priced. Took my daughter with some of her friends. About 1 in 4 games were completely down and not even plugged in. Another 1 in 4 did not work right or ate your coins. The ones that did work cost too many coins to play. All of the game were not very clean. Even with the expectation that it is full of kids and it is going to be messy, it was pretty bad. Service was mixed. They were were pleasant to me but my kids said they person handing out the prizes was rude and they are old enough to know. The staff wasn't very organized and they forgot our tokens ....the lines to cash in your tickets was like 15 people long. One of their machines was broken so it took forever to count your tickets.
