We were in Munich for Octoberfest and staying nearby. I wandered in about lunchtime and asked if…read morethey had english language menus. They politely told me in broken english that was not possible so I knew we would be in for an authentic german meal at suppertime. Our party of 9 had a fabulous time. The beer was great, the food was great, the service was great. The band played what I think was german punk during Octoberfest. None of the staff spoke fluent english but that was not a problem. There were a couple of dogs (golden or lab retrievers) roaming around that were just part of the restaurant.. I don't think they get alot of americans so the owner (I think) came over to visit a while. We probably spend 4 hours dining and beer drinking.
I absolutely plan on visiting again next time I go to Octoberfest.
