Shake Shack DFW Airport gate C2
Frank T.

Last time I went to a Shake Shack was down town Manhattan before COVID. Was a great burger and experience. Had a long layover in Dallas and hungry but not for breakfast. This place served burgers at 8am and they are fresh. Experience was similar though bun seemed larger last time I had it. That is ok since on Keto and the bun was light fluffy and held up to the grease of the meat. Cooks were fast and service very efficient. Neat little nook at the beginning of terminal C tucked away and not lots of people. Burger and unsweetened ice tea hit the spot. Note to my bud Captain Drew, this is how you satisfy your junk food urge, with tasty fresh real burgers.

Tots and the egg white lite breakfast sandwich.

The tater tots were hot and crispy. A good portion was given. The egg white lite sandwich was tasty, though the bun was a bit soggy from the moisture on the wrap and steam. There was plenty of arugula on it. You take your own order on the pad but food was served quickly with a smile and a "have a nice day". The seating was in the middle of three restaurants by gate C6 DFW. Time of very noisy to calm.

The high quality food you expect with the convenience of an airport location. The staff is what you expect in an airport fast food place. Not unfriendly but.. you know. Just sort of there Go a Carnivore burger. 4 patties, cheese, bacon and guac. About $20. See pic. Put in an open paper dish and placed in the bag. I planned to put in my backpack and bring on the plane but when I saw how packed, I decided to eat first. Good choice.

Shake Shack is one of my daughter's favorite places to eat. This was my first visit to one as I waited for connecting flight in Dallas. The Shake Shack in Terminal C is in a food court near gate C6. There were about 8 people waiting for food when I walked up. The clerk was all business and was a little frustrated that I didn't know the Shack's lingo. I got a single Shack burger and fries. Food took about 15 minutes to prep. The burgers are old school flat well-0done burgers with a slice of good old yellow American cheese. There is a signature sauce that tastes like thousand island. My burger was tasty. The crinkle cut fries were crispy and ok either way maybe a tad too much salt. There is a set of customer dedicated tables with a tv monitor playing hockey or something. I sat there and ate. For airport food, Shake Shack is certainly affordable. Next time I'd skip the fries.

Terminal C6 location. From my experience airport service is always worse than the location outside. Burger taste the same but the way they make it in DFW looks like a mess. Maybe they are trying to get orders ready for travelers so they don't have time to build it properly. Service is pretty quick. It is late at night so there weren't a lot of customers. Would I go back again, maybe. I might get Smashburger next time if I want a burger, maybe they will be cheaper and have better quality

Burnt burger, tiny portion of fries, bun looked like it was for a slider. Really bad!

Worst Shake Shack ever, I wish I'd have read the reviews before. Burger was overcooked, hard and tasted like burnt something, small portion of fries, they were out of napkins, just not the usual SS standard.

I wax looking for a quick bite to eat before catching my flight. Ordered the SmokeShack burger. It was pretty good, had a single patty, bacon, cheese, and peppers that gave it a nice spicy touch. Fries had been sitting under a heat lamp a little too long but were still crispy. No drink and the cost was still $15.52 but hey, I am inside the airport so I get it. Service was friendly but slow. There is a shared food court where you can eat. It was a good (not great) quick lunch.

Bacon Avocado Burger and fries

Not bad, but not as good as other airport Shake Shacks I've visited. The team was working hard, but they didn't take an order for 10 minutes. I think they were trying to catch up on a wave. Once I ordered it was only a few minutes till the burger was done. They called my name, but they didn't have my fries ready. The bacon avocado burger was alright... the avocado was past its prime, so that detracted from the flavor a little. Decent service, decent food

Really nice service. My food came fast & correctly. They did throw my fries in the bag but they were hot and fresh and I was starving so whatever! Lol I like how they have a whole sitting area just for them instead of with the other food court area. I also like how I got the cheese on the side instead of on the fries, I feel like it's way more cheese that way.

Good and service and was awesome. In and out very quickly. Courteous customer service

I estimate that the true value of our order of a cheeseburger, a chicken sandwich, french fries and chocolate shakes x 2, plus a 20% bump for the airport location, was roughly $25. I paid $46, and, to be clear, I'm not mad at Shake Shack; I'm mad at myself for having failed to look around for a better value. That being said, fvck those guys for engaging in egregious price gouging for what was, it must be said, average fast food. I mean, at least at Five Guys, the over-the-top price buys you a top-notch meal, plus complimentary peanuts.

The burger is laying on the cardboard.

They closed an hour early--at 6:07pm on a Wednesday evening--right as we were next in line to order. ‍

The employees are rude to customers and the burger was awful with a soggy bun. I wouldn't recommend.

ATMOSPHERE: Being located in the center aisle of the terminal gives the restaurant easy dual access from either side. A few seats are available within though the majority of business was takeout. FOOD: Double Meat Whataburger A burger isn't a burger without cheese! I had no idea what "Whatasauce" was but I opted for it in place of the standard mustard. The overall taste was a like blend of BK's flame broil and a flat top fry you'd find at your local greasy spoon. Very hefty and hearty and worth the almost $12 price. Recommended. Fries If I were blindfolded I would've guess they came from the Golden Arches. They're that good. SERVICE: I ordered on one of the four convenient kiosks. For my double order of Double Whataburgers and medium fries, it took about 10 minutes. Counter service was friendly. OVERALL: In America's fast food burger wars and cult followings, they're definitely in my top 3.

It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.
