If you're a big breakfast person, italian breakfast can feel a little light at times. Shake Cafe gave us a traditional breakfast that we were craving. It was a little more expensive than some other spots (but still very reasonable,) but the portion sizes were HUGE! We had a delicious pistachio croissant, cappuccinos, flavorful fruit bowl, and a ginormous American breakfast. Everything was delicious and fresh, and the ambiance in the restaurant was great. Amazing healthy spot in Florence! There are 3 locations around Florence- 2 are very small this one is much larger with a big outdoor patio. They have a large menu from salads, to acai bowls, to wraps, paninis, smoothies, and more. The large location is a great place to study (they have wifi) or hang out with friends. I have actually been to all 3 locations and all the staff has been super nice and friendly. Its nice to have a healthier place you take take a break from (amazing) Italian pastas/pizzas. I want to try literally everything on the menu but my favs are the sweet potato toast, caesar wrap, and the smoked salmon bagel. read more

It was nice to have more of an American breakfast in Italy. I got the fried eggs, potatoes, "bacon", and salad. The best part was the homemade jam - it was so flavorful and delicious! I also tried their iced tea, which was a little more like lemonade than what I think of as iced tea. It was a solid breakfast and they have a lot of menu items. The place is tine but offers two rooms. One is a walk up bar with limited seating. The other is a bigger cafe space with a full salad bar! We ordered smoothies (fruity, coffee, and green). This place is rampant with study abroad students treating it like they would an American cafe. You are able to study here or just read a book in the corner. I got a chocolate muffin and it was good, though a little dry. My friend really enjoyed her poppyseed muffin as well. Cute little place we found when we arrived from Rome, especially for me and my group of American tourist friends. We were craving iced coffee and smoothies in the 100F degree heat and found this adorable little shop. The front looks like a fast coffee bar, but when you walk deeper into the shop there is an adorable interior with an outdoor patio area. I got the iced coffee and the mushroom latte. Both were delicious, even though the mushroom latte was hot and we were sitting in grueling hot weather. Service was fast, didn't wait too long. There are also food options available and many young people reading or doing work. Definitely a vibe for hip people to relax in and several healthy juice options. Great spot for a quick breakfast near the center of Firenze! I had the sweet potato toast with almond butter. Lest anyone else be fooled by the description... There is no toast in this dish. The sweet potato serves as the toast here. It was quite tasty even if not exactly as I'd imagined when ordering. The real star here though was their Dirty Chai! It's been over a week since we visited and I'm still dreaming about that drink. Italy takes their coffee very seriously, so it's rare to find anything other than your standard espresso, macchiato, cappuccino... I was stoked to see the Dirty Chai on their menu and even more excited when it arrived and I took my first sip. It was perfectly creamy, spiced, and piping hot. The cutest cafe we have been to in Florence! They have a huge outdoor patio in the back that is so cozy! Order to go at the counter or walk through to the back to be seated and enjoy the full menu that way. We made the mistake of ordering at the counter because we were so excited but we still ended up sitting in the back patio! I wish the staff would have told us to order from the table instead. We found this place the closest to our stay! And it has been a pleasant surprise. The prices aren't too crazy, but definitely a little bit steeper than the nearby ones. However, it's totally worth it for the vibe and quality of food. We had avocado smash toast original, and it was a very good portion size with lots of salad. you need to add salt pepper per your requirement as it doesn't come seasoned with salt. The French toast was a bit too eggy, but the fruits were a refresher. The green tonic was the most refreshing drink for this hot summer. Coffee was alright, nothing to highlight there. read more

One side is more for shakes and fresh juices & juice shots. The other side is more for the salad bar. Juices: Beet juice- amazing! You can pick a small or large. Green juice- delicious! Turmeric shot- I use this for my joint pain. It works better than the pills. Just make sure you add black pepper to activate it. Salads: You can make your own or pick from one on the board. I created one with kale, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, corn, avocado & chicken. The mustard dill dressing was delicious! They have MANY different toppings. There's not a lot of seating, but tables did turn over fairly quickly. Staff is super friendly, interacting with some locals/every day customers. They were also very happy to let us sit and eat and then pay on the way out. I always study here or write papers as I am a study abroad student here in Florence!! They have good coffee beverages, chai lattes, matcha lattes, a variety of juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, wraps, and big salad bowls. I always get the power bowl it is by far the best bowl. My favorite salad is the zucchini noodle caprese. The green smoothie bowl is another one of my favorites!
