You'll find yourself pacing around looking for a bench, or a rack. I often end up doing standing exercises, because standing space is all that's left in the dumbbell area. I've seen crowds hover for the chance at getting a power rack, or lines form for several machines, such as the one and only seated cable row, or one of two lat pulldown machines. Personally, no matter how nice the equipment is, if it's too crowded to use any of it, it might as well not be there. Dropping a weight isn't as much of a safety concern as it is getting smacked in the face by the guy standing next to you. However, all that said, it's still not a bad place to lift. They provide lifting and dip belts behind the counter. The plates are round, not hexagonal. The machines might not be lubricated often, but they're in the very least in working order. If you find a bench in the dumbbell area, most of them are adjustable from a decline, to upright. All the plates and DB's are rubber coated, which I usually don't prefer, but in a gym like this, does substantially help keep the noise level tolerable. It's got great hours - especially for the average student, a large locker room that's always got open lockers (as well as rentable ones), classes, personal trainers and nutritionists available. I have little to no input on Dixon's other amenities, other than that they also offer a pool, rock climbing area, several basketball and racquetball courts, a men's and women's sauna, cardio machine rooms, and multiple classes - all of which seem just as popular as weightlifting aforementioned. However, everything said, it could severely use an expansion.

The very next day, I noticed three sprinkler heads leaking--even though the system wasn't scheduled to run. When I checked, the pump was running continuously, and I had to shut off the water myself to prevent it from flooding the sidewalk. I called right away and was told they couldn't return until April 21. I agreed to wait, but made it clear I should not be charged for a second visit since this issue started immediately after their service. When they finally came out, they claimed it was a "different problem" and charged me $300--despite the fact that the issue began right after their initial visit and should have been caught or addressed at that time. Customer service made things worse. One staff member talked over me and was dismissive, and another seemed completely unaware of the situation, even suggesting they needed to come back again after the issue had already been handled. I was told I'd receive a revised invoice, but that never happened.

We hired Chimcare to fix our chimney and replace our insert. They sent an employee over to assess…read morethe situation and let the crew know what they needed to complete the job. He sent me a very complete list, but apparently the crew did not get it. The crew showed up to repair the chimney and was up on my roof for a good part of the day. Before leaving they told me the job was completed. The insert technician showed up to put the new fire place in an couldn't, because the chimney was NEVER repaired. ‍ When they returned and asked why the job was not done (even though I was told it was) they said they didn't have the materials to do it. Finally, we thought the job was complete. The first winter storm, at the beach, blew the entire top of the chimney. Note, no other neighbors had chimney damage from the storm. For every appointment they have been 1.5 to 2 hours late. GPS gives them a clear idea that it takes 2.5 hours to drive from their business to my home. When I contact them, after they are a half hour late, I'm told they left an hour ago. NOT RELIABLE! I am left feeling very uncertain if the job has been done correctly.
