We were in one of the renovated rooms, which looked nice and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was def outdated and didn't have a fan, so it was like a sauna in there when showering. made it hard to breathe. There was no ventilation so the towels, which were slightly bigger than a napkin, and almost just as absorbent, never seemed to dry. We hoped to get fresh towels the next day, but the cleaning service never came. We asked for more towels and they only had one shower towel left. The next day we asked for the cleaning service, but for some reason when we arrived later, there were mini ants all over the bedside table. We didn't leave food or drink out, so that was weird and gross. The outdoor space was also being renovated, so there were unfinished projects all over, which were unsightly, but the pool was nice. The lobby has a weird old musty smell to it. The hot breakfast was clutch. They had the same stuff everyday, but appreciated that they provided a nice, hearty breakfast. The daily options were-eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, grits, 3 cereal options, bagels, toast, and waffles and the quality was ok. Again, appreciated the hot breakfast, a rarity nowadays. We got a drink ticket for Brewsky's, which was good for domestic beer, they didn't have any other beer options, and I don't like pilsners, so didn't use the ticket. Got a drink and realized after taking a few sips, there was a bug in it. The whole place has an old, grandma's basement type of feel and smell. We played pool for $1. They had other games, like darts and a punching game. It's looks like they are more lively Thursday on, but I was surprised that there was a decent amount of people at the bar for a Tuesday. Mike at the front desk was very friendly. I was concerned when first checking in as there was someone there who had a major fight with her boyfriend and ran away from him. I didn't know what kind of place this was, but Mike assured me there was security there and gates closed at 2am. Being an extended stay, there were people who seemed like they lived there, hanging outside smoking all day, but overall felt safe.

"You get what you paid for." is the perfect sentence to describe this hotel. It's extremely cheap,…read morebut the quality of the room is really not that bad! The outside might look a bit creepy in a way, but overall I didn't have a horrible experience. I mean you're paying less than $50 a night so don't expect a 5 star hotel. I would give this a 5 star if the AC wasn't a bit noisy (it was probably just my room that had that issue) and if they just made the outside look more presentable. But hey, if you're looking for a cheap decent place to stay, this place is not a bad choice. At least the bed is comfortable and the room looks clean! The dining and other amenities were closed due to Covid so I can't review them.

The carpet by restroom was wet and smelled. Another dead roach greeted us in the bathroom.. Along with stains on toilet and tub. I don't think I need to say anything else. Terrible stay. I get it cheap hotel but could they at least picked up the roaches? It was such a discussing feeling staying with our 2 year old granddaughter Gross. Disgusting. in addition to the stay, before we left the room the exterminator stopped by to "spray for roaches". Well the spraying is working, they are dying, just not cleaning up. I informed the front desk at check out of the roaches and she said 'ok'. So they obviously don't care.

Luckily for us we were able to find this gem for the affordable price of $186 (for one night). I really enjoyed my experience staying at this particular Hampton Inn. The hotel is clean and modern which are the top two things I seek out when staying in hotels. The incidental fee is a whopping $20 and breakfast is included in your stay. The hotel staff was nice, beds were comfortable, it was a great stay! Highly recommend.

In 20 years as diamond members, we had never heard of a "guest of the day", so I am not sure if this is specific to this location, but a fun little surprise. We also received extra snacks to celebrate this, :). Our room was clean, ac, WIFI and TV worked well. There was plenty of parking, with special spots for diamond members. The hotel is easy to get to right off Beltway 8, once you figure out how frontage roads work in Texas. Even with our room facing the tollway, we slept well because there was noticeably less traffic at night. Standard Hampton breakfast, staff kept all items well stocked and the breakfast area clean. Would definitely stay here again.

No coffee, but there is a coffeemaker (kind that takes single serve coffee already in the filter). Towels are dingy and dirty-looking. Could use a good soak in hot soapy bleach water. At check-in (room that sleeps four guests), found two bath towels, one hand towel, two washcloths, but no bathmat. Bathtub floor is slippery. Gate to parking lot is locked after 11pm, but walk through gate remains open, as does a door to the property which is propped open with a rock. When I mentioned this to desk clerk last night, she said they keep it open because there are so many people coming in late. Front entrance to lobby is locked at 11pm and you have to call a number posted on the door to gain entrance. Every other hotel has doors accessible after hours with room key. Cost cutting, maybe? Ice machine is broken and "no way of knowing when it will be fixed because corporate takes a while to send someone to repair it," I was told by desk clerk. So, if you plan to stay here, bring your own ice, ironing board, hair dryer, coffee and clean towels. At breakfast, there were no tongs for serving bread or baked goods. Would not pass a health inspection. Waffles, no syrup. Breakfast from 6 - 10, but only things left at 8:30 were waffles and what looked like powdered eggs and two sausage patties. No clean up regardless of any spills until they picked up what was left around 9 am. First and last time staying here.

I ended up having to change rooms and that room's tv was not working, but I was too tired to switch again. I met another guest at breakfast and he said he ended up having to switch rooms twice. Breakfast was a disaster. I came at about 7 and breakfast was 6-9. Two rotten apples, cereal no milk, no forks and a juice machine with an out of order apple juice, orange juice that came out as slightly tented orange water and heavily diluted cranberry cocktail juice. And no coffee. They did however have a waffle machine, eggs and sausages and toast. It was a disaster this time however the other guest I spoke to said that back in December this was not the case and had no idea how it went down hill so fast. The breakfast was also a mess but I had a feeling that the front desk worker was trying to do multiple jobs at once and did eventually come and clean up some of the mess. The staff was friendly and the rooms did appear to be clean.
