I looked at the reviews before hiring this company and it all seemed ok but unfortunately my experience was not good. They are understaffed so they are juggling multiple jobs at a time, they tell you they are going to show up to work on consecutive days and there are many times they do not show, we had a very difficult time getting them back to resolve problems that they created themselves and finally they stopped responding to us all together despite us paying them completely in full. We have subsequently moved on to another company that is larger and we have had none of these issues. Be smarter than we were and use someone other than Jazz to do your A/V. read more

We used Shade and Sound to do some home automation and blinds. Now I wish I can go back in time and choose another place. There are always problems in projects, but these were never ending and always getting blamed on someone or something else. Like I had anything to do with why a system didn't work. Then products that were supposed to be the best are malfunctioning or stopping to work all together. Jazz and crew would say they are coming back next day to check on it then they are not here for a few days. We are still to this day finding issues and problems that were "never going to happen." The Perfect Shade and Sound came through for me and my house at every step of the process. I was looking into window coverings and am not a great interior designer. I didn't know much about shades and I needed somebody I could trust to make my house look right and be confortable. Their design consultant, Jessica, came to a site visit at my home and gave us a full description of the myriad of products they offer. The benefits and drawbacks of many types of shades, motorized/non motorized opening mechanism, how much light would filter in, privacy considerations, aesthetics, energy savings... the whole gamut of considerations for window coverings that had never crossed my mind. She honed me in on a design that would provide the shade, convenience and look that I wanted and I couldn't have been happier with the consult. Naturally, when you get service at this level you expect to get hammered on price. When the proposal came back, I was pleasantly surprised. I had already shopped around at places that did not provide me any personalized attention... and Perfect Shade and Sound, even after a full consultation, was better priced with better and more specific proposals that then most of the other stores I visited. More importantly, I had a specific vision of what I was designing and the quality of the products/workmanship that was coming with it. I had very high expectations after the great price and consultation by the time the installation was scheduled. Those expectations were exceeded. The installation team was like seal team six. They showed up at a specific time (not a 4 hour window) and were on time (unheard of in Miami). They brought four people to do the work quickly and minimally interrupt my schedule. I have a home office and barely noticed them. They wore hygenic shoe coverings, were clean and were very respectful of my home. After a full inspection, every looks great, works great. I got a great price and great service from experts that I trust. I will use these guys for all my shade needs. Simply the best! read more

Shade and sound came in to do some automation in our house and we had trouble all along the way. Something works for one day, then it stops working the next day. Constantly having to call Jazz to come back to see what the problem was at that time. Until they just stopped answering. Still, to this day, we find new issues. Jazz and his crew have difficulty showing up for consecutive days, maybe they are spread too thin on jobs, or are just understaffed. Better off finding a different company. read more

WARNING - Here is your fair warning. We hired Shade and sound to do some automation and had problems all along the way. Jazz was coming back to the project to fix issues all the time. Always a reason why something wouldn't work and that it wouldn't happen again. Until it did and he or his crew would have to come back and fix what the mistake was. His crew is understaffed, and we would have to wait all the time for someone to become available to come and see what was wrong at that time. If you are looking for new blinds or curtains, this is the place to go! Their customer service is A+. I emailed them first after finding them online and was specifically looking for a place that carried Hunter Douglas brand. Jessica reached out to me within a day or two via email. I then made an appointment to come in. She helped me find the color I wanted and suggested something called "de-light" which blocks out the light on horizontal blinds, where there are usually little holes. I'm so glad I went with her recommendation! Jazz came to our condo and took measurements (super professional). Within a few weeks the blinds came in and the installers were here to put them up. Let me tell you...it's not easy to find professional and courteous people these days but this crew was on point! They were careful, covered the floor with a drop cloth, made no mess, hunt the blinds perfectly, stayed for a bit after they were up to go over how they work, re-checked everything a few times. Shortly after that, Jessica followed up and reminded me that if I have any trouble or if I ever need anything repaired, just give them a call. These blinds have totally changed the look of my condo, leaving clean lines, a more modern feel and the ability to now block light or open them and let the sun pour in. The color is beautiful and for Hunter Douglas real wood blinds - the price was extremely fair and the cost of having them do the install was so worth it. If you are ordering blinds from them - there is absolutely no question - HAVE THEM DO THE INSTALL!! you will not be sorry. Do NOT use this place. The blinds were fine, but the installer broke one of our window latches when installing the blinds. Now we can not open or close our window....it is permanently locked. I called the company several times. The owner never even bothered to call me back. With this thoughtless treatment, I would never recommend this company to anyone. Find some where else. read more
