We were extremely impressed with the company's professionalism throughout the entire planning process! From the staff who answered our emails to those that hung up the lights the day of, everyone was extremely helpful and assisted in making our special day run smoothly. We got married on a Friday and had the option to split the cost of the lighting package with the couple getting married on the following day-this was a great alternative that the company offered us! If you are looking to add some extra flare to your event space (especially those brides/grooms getting married in a loft/industrial space!), we would highly recommend looking into MDM Entertainment!

So I wait until October 17th and still receive no quote, so I reach out to them to express the urgency I needed this and that I was frustrated it was taking so long just to get an estimate that I was told would be sent over same day.. And they just didn't respond. Seems unprofessional considering they expect a 5k minimum just to book.

Mike was our DJ, and he practice over and over to ensure that our names would be announced correctly which was important to me. Their online tools also helped because they offered suggestions, and also helped me think of all the different moments where I would need a song. I felt their price was very reasonable, especially for all of the planning time ahead. The DJ even provided us with a timeline of the evening in advance, and checked in throughout the night which I loved (things like- your dance with your dad is in 5 minutes, I'm going to make sure he is ready to go too). He even met with me for coffee a few months before the wedding because he wanted to be sure that he understood our vision, music tastes, etc. The dance floor was full all night. So many people came up to me afterward and commented that they had never seen such a creative DJ - his transitions between songs were so fun, and he was flexible and knew how to keep the party going. He also provided all of the sound equipment for the entire day. We played a video during the reception, and even though he wasn't responsible for the equipment, he quickly jumped in when it looked like the sound wasn't working. I came across Backthird Entertainment and these guys have weddings down. I filled out an inquiry and Robbie, my account manager, contacted me right away to discuss the details. He had great ideas about the flow of the evening and, after our discussion, he paired us up with DJ Andrew. Their online portal was super easy to use and we had the opportunity to add in all of the special events we wanted during the evening. Andrew was great about helping us coordinate everything, especially since our reception ended up being a bit of a variety show. I appreciated that Andrew and his assistant, Scott, took care of all the details. They showed up early to set up, kept us on schedule throughout the evening, and made sure to play our "must play" songs and other requests at the times requested. Robbie even made sure to follow up with me at various times throughout the process to make sure everything was going well. These guys are great and really care about their customers. The day before the event, the owner calls to inform me that the performer that was supposed to come is sick and they have replacement. The replacement may not be able to perform what we have had requested but that's the best they can do on short time. After heated conversation with the owner (which he was very rude over the phone, I still can't believe they are in service providing industry with this kind of attitude), we mutually agreed that it would be best just to cancel the service. Now comes the worst part, I had already put down $75.00 deposit which I was promised that I will get back. No brainer, right? I guess not, after repeated inquires and promises I have yet to receive the deposit back. Now they are not answering my repeated request for return deposit and its been three weeks. If I had time, I would take them to small claim court to get the deposit back but rather I am working with my Credit Card company to recover the deposit. I had hired them to relieve the stress of providing the entertainment to the children at birthday party but ended up causing more stress. Even if they provide the service for FREE, I would suggest not to hire them. You are better off spending that money buying gifts/toys for your guests. Very disappointed.
