We stopped at the park office and bought some cold sodas and candy. The prices were reasonable and the park ranger was helpful. The scenery is great and the park history is interesting dating back to FDR's New Deal of the 1930's. Tip: be prepared (drinks, snacks, towels, fishing poles, bait, and whatever else you need for your little adventure- a first aid kit is not a bad idea either). I wish I had spent more time here exploring, so stop at the park office first for interesting maps and literature.

We were afraid that it would be too crowded, but there were still several spots with sufficient privacy. There are scores of campgrounds (some of them right on the waterfront), lots of RV hook-ups, a playground for kids, and boating and swimming access to the lake. Although hiking is somewhat limited (there are just a few miles of trails), the scenery is beautiful, and the sunset on the water was idyllic. Very convenient as a getaway if you live in the Tulsa area; I'm sure we'll camp here again!

If it isn't attached there is a good chance his dogs will tear it up or drag it off. RJ is unwilling to replace or refund. His response is always well dogs will be dogs or puppies will be puppies. They pee and poop everywhere and again his response is well that's what they do. The shower house/toilet is old and needs replacing. Not open but just a couple months of the year. Only available for 1person at a time. The pond is not fit for fishing much less swimming. The water is stagnant unless it rains heavy then it flows over and when it floods it floods big time. You will get stuck. He has no scruples when renting a space out. The last couple had to get a tow truck for semis to pull out their motor home 3 times before the tow truck was able to leave. They just ended up leaving themselves. Don't blame them. There isn't any sewer hookups So you have to dump your own up at the dump station.

Took a ride out here to check out the water levels with all the rain. You could tell where the…read morewater had breached the roads but it was down so all the main roads were passable. Once down to the marina area and several of the parking areas were underwater as were some of the camping areas. There were still people out enjoying things as the sun was out but more rain coming. This is a really nice area when it's full and lush with the water at normal levels.

This is a full service marina with ramps and docks as well as boat storage. There is a concession stand inside with the basics as well as bail and fishing stuff. There is a very nice playscape area along with picnic tables and grills for use. Just fisherman today and only a few as it was pretty windy and cool.

I'd like to walk over to the beautiful stocked pond in the woods and do some fishing. If you insist on a slab of concrete and perfectly manicured lawns, this is not the place for you. We had a lot of rain and didn't sink into the grass, got out no problem even in the rain. We did make a mistake and hit a pipe with our tire before we hooked up to leave and when we informed them, planning on giving them our billing info or pay a pretty penny for repairs they were calm and took a look, informing us that it would be a quick fix and thanks for letting them know. Definitely returning.

Everyone is respectful and friendly. After dark great live music and good company at the Outdoor Pub . We enjoy going in the Fall , build a camp fire and look at the stars , go for a midnight ride on the beach .
