Get here early (before 8.30) and park where you like! Students don't like early mornings it seems!

Why do we have to do this? Because the contact button does not actually connect to anyone or even worse to someone who refuses to do anything. I have reported times to Wilson. But, no action seems to have been taken apart from at least moving the person who answers (once you back your car up and go to the lowest level of the car park to find a machine that actually contacts Centre) to Australia rather than offshore . Do not park in this car park if you want to actually get out on time and without major stress.

But I tend to use this carpark for evening visits to the city, when after 5pm the rate is only $10 (it used to be $9 until recently, too). Still, that's a bargain to park within throwing distance of all those Chinatown restaurants, the George St cinemas and any other manner of city delights. There's nothing worse than being stung with a parking ticket, or looping streets for eons looking for a park. Sometimes its worth throwing a bit of money at the problem and parking someone secure and handy. It makes bringing a carload of friends or family into town for the evening really quite affordable.

What's replaced it now is the store Anaconda - which has everything you need to explore the world. I walked into Baby Bunting by mistake. Eeek ! Lots of mums with crying babies, strollers and chaos! Get me out of here. Other stores I have frequented are Harvey Norman, Freedom Furniture and JB Hi Fi. Feeling peckish? Try Dish Expresso on Level 1 /Shop11 for pastries, cakes , toasted wraps/sandwiches and the Breakfast Works Burger! It's my favourite (but not healthy) It is so tasty with egg, bacon, hash brown, cheese, tomato and a spicy relish served bursting at the seams in a toasted bun. Coffee is good and that's what counts! I'm sure you'll find something here to eat as there isn't any other outlets that offer this choice in the whole centre.

I think what most people in the Eastern Suburbs like is that this place is super convenient. Aesthetically its pretty ugly and I think you can get a little stir crazy if you spend too long i the centre, but for convenience it's pretty good.... Definitely worthy of a browse.

Upon my return at 10:10pm I noticed a big scratch on the driver's side of the front section of my car. Obviously the car that was parked beside me had sideswiped my car. I took a photo and went back down to 3B to the Security Office and waited 10 minutes for staff/security person to arrive, despite calling the mobile number on the web site which goes through to an answering machine! When the security person arrived I told them what had happened, and asked for a copy of the CCTV security film footage. He said as it was Sunday night this couldn't be provided until Monday morning, and that someone would phone. I haven't heard and have tried phoning only to get the answering machine. Very unsatisfactory.

I though I had entered at 5:01 (according to my virgin mobile time, car dashboard clock and partners vodafone time) but the parking slip actually said the time was only 4:56. Because of this small difference in time (and I'm still unsure which clock is correct) I was charged the day rate which could have been $49 for 3+ hours instead of $10! I noticed there was an attendant who came by after I had parked to change the signboard outside the carpark. He put up the display sign that said $10 from now on.. Only then, did I note the entrance time on my slip and realise it was actually 4:56. Luckily, I noted the difference in time and decided to exit the carpark - had to pay $5 for the day rate half hour (Dislike!) and then re-enter the parking lot to ensure I was there after 5:00pm. This time I entered at 5:09. The parking lot is conveniently located in the city and close to Darling Harbour making it a popular carpark for Imax Cinemas. But the staircase is poorly maintained and the lift is best avoided.
