I found Boşnjak Börek ve Pita online and was very eager to try it after my favorite Bosnian restaurant closed in my homemade. When I walked into the cafe, the workers seemed a bit startled because I was the only person walking around the neighborhood. I was seated outside and ordered the çevapi and a coke. The sandwich arrived a few minutes later and my mouth was watering...Several hot juicy sausages inside fluffy bread (lepinja). The meat was covered in butter and the sandwich came with a side of chip-like fries, which the waiter apologized for. From previous photos, it looks like this meal usually comes with thick french fries, but these were fine with me. Everything was fantastic and it was just as good as I remember. 10/10 highly recommend!
My meal ended with a cup of çay, of course. The bill was 38TL, which is pretty good for the amount of food. I wasn't hungry for the rest of the day.
I returned a few days ago in order to buy some mantı börek to-go, however, I was informed that there was none available and I should come back tomorrow. No problem, I look forward to my next visit.
Overall, if you're looking for authentic Bosnian food, then I highly recommend visiting this cafe. The çevapi is delicious!
