This shop has one of the best selections of Quiltworx's patterns and kits. Ana is very knowable and very willing to help you. If you stay at her barn for a retreat, she is a wonderful cook, ie. gluten free meals. Check her website to see how many meal she has during a retreat. I attended my first retreat there this year. I had a great time and got a lot of my project done. It was great fun, and you meet new people! read more

From the Business

Specialties

Iowa's first and only Certified Instructor for Quiltworx - foundation paper piecing. In the last 10 years I've made over 500 quilted items for people, many being T-shirt quilts and other quilts on commission. I also do custom and Edge to Edge long arm quilting.

History

Established in 2008.

We started in 2008 as a scrapbooking and quilting shop doing custom work. As time went on scrapbooking was not as popular and quilting took off, so we dropped the scrapbooking part and focused on quilts. Then Ana became Iowa's first and only Certified Instructor for Quiltworx. Over the years, we've gone from open full time, to appointment only, to regular hours 1 day a week. Ana still works full time and teaches at guilds and other shops.

Meet the Business Owner: Ana B.

Ana loves to work with people, coloring quilts for them or creating custom, one of a kind designs. She also loves to teach and opened the shop/training center in September 2017. 2021-2022 Ana rebuilt and restored their 117+ year old barn, where her quilt shop, retreat space and classroom now resides. She teaches at least one day every week. Ana's main goal is to get more people quilting or sewing.
