If someone is looking for a quilt shop and sees a one star rating and doesn't read the review, they probably will not go to the shop. And obviously not enough people thought highly of the sub shop or it would still be open. Besides food lasts a few hours while a quilt can last for generations and pass down family history. I haven't been to the actual shop, but I certainly like their online shopping. They have a good selection of Kaffe Fassett fabrics - one of my favorites - as well Moda, and other good brands of quilt fabric.

Last Thursday, I dropped it off for Dan Dolin to clean and oil. I asked if I could have it back by the 16th. He got it done in 2 days and I didn't recognize it!!! They also have a great section for miscellaneous items in large bins that go based off the weight of the items. The store has foam and a large selection of fabric for upholstery. I took away one star because it seems like the only fabrics they don't really have, minus a couple, are fabrics for apparel. I would love it if they had linens, muslins, and other clothing/fashion fabrics, since no one in the area carries them besides Hobby Lobby, and they don't have much either. Now that Joann's is closed, there's nowhere to shop for good quality clothing fabrics. It could be great for business if someone started selling them. As for some of the reviews about the rudeness of the workers: I mean yeah I can see that, but if you smile at them and are nice, they usually reciprocate the actions. They're little old ladies, so go easy on them and show grace.

I called yesterday regarding the AccuQuilt Cutting Systems to make sure they were a dealer and had demo models prior to driving from Knoxville. I was pleased to find out they did. When I arrived, I was greeted even though they were busy with other customers. When the customers had been helped the shop owner, Amy then spent well over an hour with me, educating me and letting me try the different machines. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, making appropriate and helpful suggestions on the dies I would need based to the type of quilting I do. She was able to put together a custom package at a great price (even better than Amazon). I left pleased and feeling like I not only made an appropriate purchase but also a new friend. I will definitely be returning.

The foundation paper piecing was an amazing find. The shop was clean and well organized. Fabric selection was good and was very reasonable in price. I did ask for a few yards of fabric to be cut along with my other selections, the clerk was a bit abrasive at first and I was as thinking to myself "oh it figures typical quilt shop employee not taking a younger quilter seriously ". However, I pushed a little and made her stir up some conversation that was a little better but she still could have been a little more pleasant. Overall a nice place but I'm not sure I would drive out of my way to go there again.

The place is hectic because it's open for 3 Days per month. First weekend of every month. They also have craft items, very little furniture, organization materials, cross-stitch items, flowers, cricut items, lots of notions. The value of items are much lower than in department stores. The people are very helpful and nice. Can get very crowded. Only one shopping cart per isle. The establishment is nice but the people that shop there can get very rude. Not really the fault of the store. If you sew a lot you will save money here.
