Great for all ages and all belt levels. My daughter has been going there for three years. Joe, and all the instructors are amazing.

After nearly two years of training here, I feel confident saying this is hands down one of the best…read moreplaces I've ever trained. I don't rush into reviews--I like to really experience a place first--and this gym has exceeded my expectations in every way. I originally started training here by myself, and now both of my kids train with me. They love it, and honestly, that speaks volumes. The environment is welcoming from day one. It doesn't matter if you're a doctor, lawyer, law enforcement, a mom or dad, or someone walking in off the street--once you step on the mat, everyone is treated the same. No egos, no nonsense--just a solid group of people pushing each other to be better. The professors are top-notch. They take the time to teach real jiu-jitsu the right way, breaking things down so students of all levels can grow. It's also pretty special to train alongside high-level practitioners while still feeling like part of the team. More than anything, this gym feels like family. The friendships I've made here--brothers and sisters on the mat--are ones I never would have found outside of jiu-jitsu. If you're looking for a place with great instruction, strong values, and an even stronger community, this is it.

Took my first no gi class today and I'm stoked i finally came in to train here. Everyone there…read more will make you feel welcome and the head instructor is seriously the nicest gentleman you'll meet and is a phenomenal teacher. They have tons of mat space AND their mats are dope! Overall I'm beyond happy with my experience here! Pancho was more than happy to have us there and let us know to come back and try them out for a while and I'm going to do just that. Felt like home trainIng there today and looking forward to coming back and more than likely going to make this my home gym

Absolute best Jiu Jitsu academy! The Professor and Coaches are unbelievably patient and helpful…read morewith their students. Our son has been here now for over a month and he genuinely looks forward to class each week.

My son has been in Jiu jitsu since he was four years old (has been training for 7 years). As soon…read moreas he turned four he was enrolled. We enrolled him @gb72escondido , he had always been with Gracie Barra. When he began he was trained by @georgekellyking and @gorilla_hands for the first two years. Then for the remainer of the time he was trained by @gorilla_hands, @_dandsd , @gn72escondido all professors ( not coaches) my son loved and still loves jiu jitsu. They did have coach @jreyes0331 on the mat. We purchased a property in Murrieta, we continued to drive him to Escondido for training... until it became too difficult because of his school schedule and traffic. We were offered for him to be picked up and brought back to and from Escondido by 2 of his trainers one being the owner. We thought about the offer but he wouldn't be home till late. We decided to take him to Gracie Barra Lake Elsinore, even though we had been warned by a trainer and a coach. We also had two other parents tell us it wasn't a good idea. We tried anyway, we figured it's a franchise... how different can it be? Let me tell you, it was very different. We made a huge mistake in taking him here. Everything we had been told turned out to be true. I am only talking about the youth class, I cant speak about the adult class... it doesn't apply to me. The facility is clean. As far as the training, things are done very different here. To start off the professor has some ladies running the place. These ladies I assume are parents that have been there a little too long (one of the 5 star reviews on here is from one of the ladies). The professor pretends to be too busy to speak to you, unless you are someone from his little circle. He has no respect for others and carries himself as if he's better than anyone else. He is a very arrogant person and I do not think he should teach. He is only on the mat about 10% or less of the time. He has only coaches on the mat for about 90% of the time. I had a concern regarding one of the coaches (older man), I tried to talk to the professor about it and when I did he smiled (like a smirk) as if making fun of me. Then proceeded to tell me "what was wrong with my child" and how he didn't like taking instructions... ¡How would the professor know this if he doesn't spend the time on the mat or getting to know the children!. The conversation didn't go well, I did tell him "you might be the professor but I am the mother". After this he would give me a look everytime I was there. Previously to this, we had never had an issue with any professor... ever. * what I spoke to him about: He has a coach on the mat who is a parent to two of the children (a girl and a boy). He is supposed to be training all of the children, not just his own (the boy). He is completely focused on his child (only on the boy). Whenever they would do take downs he would be with his child, and would get upset if his child was "loosing". He almost seemed obsessed about it, I caught him making a couple of comments under his breath to my son. When this happened both my husband and I began to pay extra attention to the situation when we would take him for training. We waited a couple of weeks just to make sure I wasn't reading the situation wrong. I wasn't, once I was sure I brought it up to the professor. Then it became like a challenge... as now purposely my son would get paired with the coaches child and the coach would be right there. The only thing we did here was waste time and money. Know that if you go here you will loose alot of time and money. The stripes have a timeline that he does not follow... if you don't believe me call franchise or research it. You will also be an outsider unless you decide to get into his little circle and be a follower. I wish things would have been different. We ended up pulling him out before our contract ended... we decided to pay even though we would no longer be taking him. We contacted his original professors and they were upset about the situation, because they do have a bond with my son. They spoke to a professor (world champ) near us, he contacted us, he is back to training, advancing and learning from the best and things are great. Why I am giving one star is because of Amber. She is also a coach. She is very nice and is good with children. She takes the time with them and is patient.

i started the new years probably at the lowest point in my life after going through the worst year…read morei had ever experienced in 2025, but i told myself i truly wanted to learn fighting specifically muy thai, as i was already heavily into fitness and becoming a master of my body, i started a free trial on the second of January showed up and my body was crazy tense and i was incrediby uncordinated as ive never played a sport before, I just knew weight training. fast forward two months the level of my body cordination as well as muscularity in my body has blossomed ive never felt more powerful in my entire life, going here would boost my confidence to new levels i didnt even know existed for me as i was already a confident person, i even learned stretches i didnt even know existed and became a lot more well versed in using my whole body. Glutes, hamstrings, shoulders, and traps transformed going and training here, it transformed me like nothing else has in my life, if your on the fence or have never tried fighting in your life please just go, all the coaches are extremly friendly and understand excatly where to take you from a complete beginner, and nurture you into becoming a master, id like to say they have my upmost respect and praise as im doing very well in my life as of writing this, a complete 180 as to what i went through last year. Thankyou Beau you made me fall in love with the art and beauty of mma. The journey for me described in one word is "beautiful" -Lucas
