Our mother was very gently taken care of by all of the staff. Everyone at Accord was respectful and did everything needed to make our mom comfortable. I really cannot say enough about the level and care and support provided for my mom and the entire family. I highly recommend Accord to anyone looking the VERY BEST in Palliative and Hospice care for their loved one. It was the best decision ever, and Accord was suggested from a dear friend who had used them. PLEASE DO NOT PASS UP A CHANCE TO WORK WITH Accord. They are exemplary!!!

We brought her home that weekend and the loving and caring staff not only got her comfortable but more importantly, she had a series of falls the last few months before this hospital visit, so she had not walked for almost 8 months. She was started on some muscle strengthening exercises, given some tender love and care, and not only did she make it through the weekend, but she walked about a month later for the first time in a long time, and lived almost 7 months after receiving such initial devastating news. We collectively know that it was Accord Palliative and Hospice Care that went above and beyond for our family. Thank you guys so much for caring for us in our time of need. -Davis Family

This is typical of many physicians and understandable as they usually like to hear it to diagnose. I get it, it's dismissive but normal. He then told me, 'he's not even congested'. Even though, I had just washed off his nose prior to him coming in and he still had crusted residue on his upper lip. Why would he dismiss him for not seeing snot run out at that exact moment? Did he think I don't know what congestion is? Croup is often worse at night and can be fine during the day, but he informed me it had to be consistent. That is actually not true, so very weird he said that. Maybe he was referring to a more minute part of the croup symptoms? He said he wouldn't give an infant a steroid, which I understand. I didn't ask for one and it's not the only treatment option. But then, he didn't give any advice on how to help my child at home. No mention of anything (e.g. humidifier, nebulizer, Motrin). Nothing was offered beyond 'I won't give an infant a steroid'? I brought my infant in because the day prior and this morning he was drooling excessively, as a baby who doesn't drool and the barking cough was now present after serval days of a cold. He didn't even ask about drooling, which is an indicator for throat pain. All my observations were shut down. Felt like a very worthless office visit with no actual assistance. Seems like a great guy, but not a great communicator, thorough examiner or helpful doctor. Weird and not worth the money.

Our experience was less than stellar…read more 1. They need to "check you in" with cumbersome typing before seeing someone in excruciating pain. As if that cannot be done simultaneously like other hospitals. We needed empathy and urgency. The administrative can and should've been done later in my opinion. 2. The staff appeared nervous and unsure. As if newly experienced. I had to ask them to run a specific test which the nurse's response was "oh. I should've thought to do that." 3. They do not have important equipment onsite. We needed to come in for an ultrasound abruptly, which they do not have the machine onsite. Luckily, they had an existing appointment 1hr after we arrived, where another person needed one too; so they had already planned for the machine expert to travel onsite, but had that not been pre-planned then we likely would've needed to go elsewhere. 4. Wait times. The wait time to be seen (after check in) was quick, but the time to receive the care mentioned above was very long. We arrived around 8:50am. Were in the back getting the basics (IV, bp, answering basic questions) at 9am. We expected the ultrasound representative onsite at 9:45am, but did not receive until ~ 10:15 Overall- It's a nice, clean, friendly place for sure. Best for basic care. But it doesn't not appear to be the best place to go for advanced care when you truly need it.

I appreciated her diligence and the effort she put into my case. Old review : I had total knee replacement surgery. This company contacted me initially and we set up times. The RN came and she was Amazing! The PT came and he was great. What I have major issues with is I was supposed to be getting 3 sessions a week for two weeks minimum.. On my about to be third session , the PT said oh we don't have pre authorization. I wondered about this so I called. The company would not call me back. I called twice. I waited 7 hours and no follow up call. I called a third time around 3 in the afternoon . I finally got someone and they said, " Oh we don't have pre authorization." I said , "Then how did you guys send people to my house in the first place?" They still have not answered that question. I still should be having PT sessions , it was knee surgery, the Dr. office did send that over (I checked) , and still no services and no calls from this company when I should be having therapy. Knee surgery is a difficult surgery mentally and emotionally, and to have to deal with this is unacceptable. I rated the company a 1 only because I really liked the PT and OT. Their management , scheduling , return calls needs to be improved.

Bad experience just trying to get my mom into this place…read more After calling for almost 2 weeks and finally getting a call back, I was instructed to have a letter faxed to the them from my mom's doctor. Two days later, the letter was sent. I called, emailed, texted trying to reach someone (3 different people) to verify the letter was received and what we needed to do next. No response, no return calls/emails. Today, I call and ask to speak to the director. He apologizes and said he would look into it and have the admissions person contact me. Sure enough, 10 minutes later, she calls. She confirms she received the letter. However, she says they don't have space for my mother and, likely wouldn't have space in the near future. She says they admitted 5 people Friday and 6 on Saturday. So, they admitted people and gave away my mother's spot while I was trying and trying to reach them and they wouldn't respond? Or, because I called the boss and complained you weren't responding, you tell me there is no open space??? Either way, great business practices!!! I can't speak to the patient care because we never got there. I guess if you can get someone to communicate and actually help you, they may be ok. I'm counting this as a sign that mom didn't need to be placed here anyway. Good luck! **Just an FYI, the 5 star review on here from John R. is the director of Belterra! I guess he had to self-rate to bump up their ratings by adding a 5 star to the average!

I was almost 3 years post partum when I went to see Dr. Bunner. I had been suffering terribly since…read more3 days after my daughter was born. Dr. Bunner was the 1st doctor to actually listen to me. I know my body. I had seen 4 OB's within my original practice starting from 6 months PP up until a few months ago. They told me everytime "this is NOT post partum depression caused by hormones, this is psychiatric, we can't help you. You need to see a psych". I left each appt in tears begging for help. I had already been seeing a psych since right before I got pregnant due to a traumatic event. The OB tested my hormones and kept telling me everything is fine, looks good. When I saw Dr. Bunner and explained to her I was sure it was hormonal and not psychiatric, she tested my hormones which came back within normal standards. Upon meeting with me I explained to her that the hormonal fluctuations and depressive/suicidal thoughts were only happening one week per month. (The OB was aware of this as well and never tested my hormones during that week, even upon my request). The day I saw her was one of my worst days. She insisted on testing my hormones within 24 hours of seeing her. I did, and within 5 days she figured out what had been wrong for three years. She's one of 3 docs who might have just saved my life BC SHE LISTENED TO ME. I wasn't sure I could survive one more week of that dark hole. My estrogen was spiking and causing depressive/suicidal thoughts. We immediately started hormone replacement therapy with a clear plan and I'm slowly getting better. If you feel this way, fight for yourself. Don't let a doctor tell you it's not what you know it is. You just need to find a doctor who will listen to you and Dr. Bunner will. Thank you so much that I found her!
