"Acqua & Grano" has two shops in the city: this on at Portoni Borsari, and another one in the district called "Borgo Trento". Ingredients are terrific, the flavors are excellent and everything is prepared following a really healthy philosophy (that you can read ok the wall once you enter the place). There are many choices of pizza al taglio and obviously they make them fresh. The place is small but it looks nice. Prices are kind of steep but you cannot deny that the quality is remarkable. The one I ate at did not have seating outdoors. They seem to have slightly different menu. The one I went to was more specifically pastas or pizzas. The other had more seafood options (I think). The one I dined at had a vertical pizzeria sign. It was the best pizza I have EVER eaten. No lie. It was so good we ate here for dinner and returned the next day for lunch. Even more funny was that my husband and I noticed a young couple that sat near us that night. The next day, they returned for lunch as well! The PIZZA: the crust was the best crust ever and was different from the rest we have had in Italy. It was the same for the long pizzas we ordered. We did not order circular pizzas. Most places in Italy were really thin crusts that were crispy with dark spots from the hot oven and slightly soft interior. Here, the crust is thin but not as thin as most places. And it was not as crunchy but crisp and thick enough to hold up to the cheese and toppings on the pizza. I am in love with their crust..the flavor is indescribable. Must be the olive oil they use? I normally won't eat all my crust on pizza and I managed it enjoy every bit of Bella Napoli's crust. The sauce is also light on all pizzas I've ordered. -chose bianca(?) pizza that was my favorite: pancetta with basil and white sauce. Barely taste white sauce..it is light. If you ever come to Verona, make the effort to come here for pizza…read more The place might not be the most appealing one and the service, despite being impeccable, can be perceived a bit rough. But boy if the pizza is good here. And the price is almost hard to find this convenient anywhere in town. It's located just 5-10 minutes driving from the historic centre (depending on traffic and which part of the historic centre you are) but trust me when I say that it's worth the drive. The pizza is the typical Northern Italian style: flour 00 for the dough which is well stretched resulting thin all around with crunchy edges. As always, the topping are just two or three, well paired together and of fresh quality. Started to come here since late '90. It hasn't changed since then; and I'm not just talking about the ownership and the "pizzaiolo" (pizza maker), but also the interior design and, most importantly, the menu. Well, to be exact the menu has changed a bit: it has been reprinted. But the type of pizza and its prices are still available (until three/four years ago, prices were still in Lira - old Italian currency before the Euro took over). A real gem totally unknown to the tourists (except those few Canadians I have brought here and that went nuts). The only downside if you don't speak Italian? They don't speak any other language other than Italian but they will do whatever they can to make sure you get what you want.
