There were periods of weeks to months during which I received no communication regarding my case. In most instances, I had to initiate contact myself to obtain updates or information. As a result, I spent nearly a year uncertain about the status of my case. Before my custody case was resolved, my attorney withdrew from representing me, and I completed the remainder of the case pro se. Representing myself in a family law matter added significant stress during an already demanding period while I was preparing my medical school application. After my case concluded, I reviewed publicly available client reviews and saw that other clients had described experiences similar to my own. I wish I had seen those reviews before deciding to retain the firm. If they had spent as much time on my case as they spent on one of their TV commercials, we might have gotten someplace. The fact is I had to complain to the office manager even to have them file a law suit. The event happened 06/2017. Nothing was filed until 02/2018, and then it is questionable if the right parties were sued. We will never know because depositions were not taken; The property was never videotaped even after before covid to show how dangerous the parking lot was; Matt Tucker, the attorney, NEVER followed throw anything except for thing to getting me to sign a settlement that would not even cover my true medical bills. He started telling at the beginning of the case that he would not settle for under 65-70k. We settled for less than 1/2 that figure. I was put into meditation with Whitner not making proper discovery. I called the managing partner with my concerns, and he promised that we would go over the file and tell me what I should expect. He said that he would be going along to the meditation. The meeting was done over video at the Whitener Firm, and he did not even come in the room to introduce himself. I learn more about the law and the road my case was going down from the arbitrator the I ever form the attorney that was being paid to deal, with it. The sad part was the arbitrator said, "I am sure your attorney has gone over all of this with you". I was caught so far off guard with the information she presented me with that I did not know what to do. I am an accountant, and you can't read me very well, and Matt had no clue that I was pissed. If my attorney had done half of what he said he would actually do, we would have gotten someplace. He could have done a lot without it costing anything? (Fire Department had been out at that location a dozen times over a 19 month period. I know that because I did the research. Did they ask for the 911 tapes? NO). Just those tapes would have to a story. Two depositions and the questions did not get answered and, in fact, the wrong individuals were deposed. My attorney said, "Don't worry, we will file a motion in court to deposed them or whoever the correct person again, and they will have to pay for it" Puffing, It never happened. I called this firm twice asking to be assigned a different attorney, and twice I was denied my request. One was to the managing partner. What did he do for me Nothing but PUFFING PUFFING! Professional Malfeasance in Action! He will take your case…read moreand your money and take as little action as possible. He is initially responsive until the real work starts. Then he hides behind his sister. When motions need to be submitted to the court or decisions objected to or appealed, he refuses with little or no reasoning other than "it will upset the judge." He will work with opposing counsel and sign on your behalf without discussing it with you and make decisions not in your best interest - to not upset the judge. When you try to establish expectations that he will: start responding to emails and calls, not sign court documents without your knowledge, submit motions you request, and object to orders or decisions that are not in your best interest, he quits! (he informed the court 12 days before trial and us 2 business days before). it is tantamount to theft! He will take your money, represent you poorly, and quit if you hold him accountable to actually BE an attorney.

I also knew that fighting for my rights was the right thing to do as I did NOT wish to get ripped off this time!
