My husband has been seeing Dr Morales for over 2 years now. Initially we came to him because the…read morecardiologist he had been seeing since he was diagnosed with heart failure seemed to be more interested in visiting with him socially than treating his condition. At the time of our 1st visit with Dr Morales and staff we were initially very impressed because they found a first line treatment for heart patients that had not been started that helped tremendously......a simple pill.......magnesium. This did amazing things for his arrhythmia, initially, but after 6 months or so he started having symptoms again. We kept getting told there was a plan of action but nothing ever came to fruition. Now, about 2 years later his ejection fraction is found to be at 14% and his symptoms are much worse, and the response we got was ...... "the ejection fraction on a stress test isn't as accurate as that of the echocardiogram so there's no need for worry".....when all the while he is telling them he is increasingly more short of breath, can't even walk into the house from the car without stopping, has had numerous episodes of near syncope where he has almost passed out from his heart rate being so low, daily headaches, chronic fatigue and shortness of breath. I'm now having to by bottled oxygen off of Amazon because their response when he asked for home O2 to help with the shortness of breath and other symptoms related to the low heart rate was "you don't qualify". There are numerous things that I feel could have been done prior to him getting to this point, but maybe Dr Morales just isn't real proactive. So, unless you're just wanting the simple/easy treatments like pills, and to kind of "give up" on more aggressive treatments, I would recommend finding a different provider.
