Ok, my wife us the quilter and not me, but she was thrilled with the selections, and I overheard 2 other customers exclaim " I'm so excited. " Mask are required as of today, September 27, and the staff was welcoming even to me, a quilters spouse. The parking lot is behind the building and us convenient, but was full when we arrived at 1030 on a Monday morning. The selection looks amazing, but I can't comment on prices due to my ignorance. Made it back to Serendipity with a friend who quilts. Warm welcome and offers to help. They no longer carry yarn. They have a beautiful display of wool fabric for embroidery and patterns to use. As of 11/11/22, they ask that you bring proof of vaccination if you take one of their classes. Great stop on the way to Bethany Beach. read more

I can not believe what was written by C.N.M. I have been in that store when a young lady came with tattoos on both arms down to her wrists. She was a nice young lady we talked about a good fifteen minutes on how she started quilting. She I think maybe was between 20 & 25. Know in that store. This person who wrote this review must of had personall problems before she went into Serendipit. I love the people who work in the store. read more

Definitely worth a stop if you have any kind of fabric obsession! The selection was great, well laced out with lots of room, and the "help" was super friendly. We were visiting Lewes and took the 25 minute drive over to visit during their first day for open shopping since COVID. The trip was definitely worth it! The staff were incredibly nice and helpful without hovering. COVID protocols were good and hand sanitizer available as you enter. I felt very safe shopping in this open store. They have a large batik selection in a well-lit room. They also have a high quality flannel selection and several beautiful flannel quilts on display that can be put together with available patterns and fabric. If you like wool applique, this is a big strength. They have a ton of patterns and more exciting, many affordable bundles of wool squares and strips in a wide variety of colors. I think another strength is their black and white fabric selection. You could find fabric and patterns for quilts from modern to traditional in this shop. All cottons were high quality brands. There were many fat quarter selections available that the store had put together. There is a nice selection of notions and a large selection of batting options. I bought a strip cutter that I think will change my life. Most, but not all stock is available online as well. Based on the experience that my wife and I had, I would say the shop was also LGBTQ friendly. read more

Friendly, super helpful staff. One saleslady actually refigured a pattern for me in order to fit my particular requirements. Beautiful fabric throughout store.
