On a lovely Thursday we decided to have a brunch breakfast n coffee catch up with some old friends here at Serendipity cafe on a fairly busy but not jam packed kind of day.
The atmosphere is quite nice and the inside outside flow of the cafe works well without too much road noise or kitchen clatter.
The prices seemed fair but the portions didn't really reflect that for the eggs Benedict I had ordered for $20+ was one English muffin, two eggs and the Benedict sauce. This was a little steep for price and value of the portions but was still tasty enough to enjoy.
They do offer some good vegetarian options too from frittas to Kesh and salads which were very tasty so I would recommend those but I'd like to see a little less chunky onion in them as it was more onion than fritter but that's down to personal preferences.
The tea, coffees and fejoa juice (was sooo yum) were really good.
The service was really good and the place is quite tidy and active which is always a good thing.
I know covid has done a lot of damage for businesses and hurt people's pockets my only criticism would be really here is the cost needs to reflect more bang for your buck and work on some of the food presentation because the eggs Benedict is on a huge plate with a little English muffin and two poached eggs it looks empty. read more
