I was greeted right upon walking in, and as soon as they figured out I am an Anglo, I was escorted to a sales girl who spoke English quite well. I was looking for a coconut oil product I could slather on both my sunburnt skin and frizzy hair. They offered one for each but not one that does both. I asked what she uses and she directed me to Mundo Verde for pure coconut oil, a block away. I really appreciated her helping me out, when ahe could have easily sold me on something in the store.

You can get liquid soaps or the bar soaps (that are glycerin based) of various different scents. Many of which are traditionally Brazilian, such as Açai and Castanha do Brasil. They sell hand creams, liquid soaps, nail varnish, products for pets and a special line of products for babies. Totally recommend checking them out and taking a few products home with you!
