I felt very awkward and getting my hair done made me feel uncomfortable around her. She judged me from what brush I had to how I've taken care of my hair in the past. I felt left out because the other stylist were having fun and laughing with there clients. When I would say something to her, her usual response would be "oh." She asked me to text her when I need another appointment. I did that but sadly had to cancel because I work in the healthcare field and was on call. I asked her if she had any other available appointments and she never replied back. I will not be back.

There is a night and day difference between her and other businesses in the tri state. I found that other places do not take the time to explain everything and give you extra useful information. Also, Donna strives for perfection not just the first time because you are a new client but EVERYTIME!! I have done waxing, facials, etc with her. Every service has always been nothing but perfect. She uses nothing the the best natural products and my skin is always bright and smooth. I would not go anywhere else, and if you want the best service around. My daughter got her first pimple…read more What does a dad do when catastrophe strikes the preteen visage? Only one answer: Miracol cream. This stuff has been around forever...I know this because I used it when I was in middle school - eons ago. My football helmet would leave a series of pimples centered on my forehead and on my chin underneath my chin guard. Anyway, the stuff works. And, there is only one place to get it: Merle Norman. Not to be condescending, but I was shocked to find that this place still had a shop in the local mall; I mean, I don't hear the kids talking about how rad Merle Norman is. Regardless, on my Saturday runs, I swung by to pick up a tube for my kid. There was only one person working when I arrived. She was busying herself with something underneath a cabinet and when I cleared my throat and said, "excuse me," I think I scared the hell out of her. I don't know if it was the extraordinary beard or the fact I am covered in tattoos, or if I was just the first - possibly only male - customer of the day, but I got the sense I am not the average demographic of customer they are used to. I explain to her what I was looking for, and she scrambled around to find it. She was extremely nervous. I tried to make small talk to put her at ease, explaining my history with the product and I was introducing it to the next generation. No matter what I said, I think it just made things worse. She fumbled to find some chapstick to give me as a free gift, she dropped the items trying to bag them, and she forgot to give me my change. Again, very kind, just extraordinarily nervous. On my next visit, I will send my daughter in with the credit card to save anyone the possibility of a breakdown. By the by - the pimple is history.

Giving Cyndi 5 stars, giving the establishment 0 stars. I went back and forth about writing this…read morebut if no one's ever says anything how do they know what to fix right? Ok so booked my appointment, called and tried to get Cyndi because I'm always with her, love her. Couldn't get her which I understood so I kept my booked appointment. Showed pics of what I wanted. She began cutting away. At one point she asked for help and I am grateful for that. She said she had never done a pixie before. Sweetest girl ever so I don't want to bag on her, but if she had never done a pixie they should have put me with another stylist as they knew I wanted a pixie. Cyndi gave her some pointers but she was with another client at this time. Cyndi came back a little later on and I think realized how worried I was so she immediately took me to her chair. She had a client waiting but finished my hair out of the kindness of her heart. I could never do hair, which is why I go get it done, so that's why I don't want to be rough with my words but if Cyndi hadn't of stepped in I was on the verge of a panic attack. Every. Single. Time. I am there the manager is rushing Cyndi. She came by and was reminding Cyndi of the time and her next client, instead of thanking Cyndi for finishing my hair. I pay a lot for those services when I go and I don't expect someone to be rushing my service every time. I got to the register and was asked how everything went. I stated not good. The girl at the counter walked away and came back explaining she could take 15% off my service. I said I don't think I should be paying for the service but that I would gladly tip Cyndi for fixing my hair. She said she would talk with her manager and give me a call. Needless to say I did not have to pay for the service but I think we can all agree that should have been a given. Get rid of your manager and give Cyndi and award and a raise and make sure you are aware of what your clients needs are and that whomever they have been assigned to can provide that service adequately. Or change your prices to match.
