Went to my in person job after working remote for 2 years and I felt like a human being and not a cave troll. I give her a 5 star review. She was very professional. And that's what I expect. I work in finance, and she was great. Didn't smother me with too much chatter, listened to what I needed, gave great advice, looked at my old haircut photos and did exactly what we agreed upon together. She was ultra fast. I will come back for the full keratin with her. Went to get some products after the cut. Walked around forever and got no help. Had to track someone down, by then I was in a hurry I just needed a quick recommendation. I got Lilith. Asked for a moisture rich foundation brand because I have dry skin. She wouldn't just answer the question. Had to criticize just about everything I do and follow up with a ton of questions. Had to cut her off. Just tell me the name of brands. Sent me to Clinique- gross, mineral oil. Then another brand. Nothing matched my color. What a waste of time. I had better luck and less irritation on my own. She caught an attitude when I said I would be okay by myself after that- when asked a simple question, I expect simple answers. I did not invite her to get into my skin care routine. I see a dermatologist and just have dry skin, I am early 40's, though I know I don't look it. And don't try to upsell me on skin care products. I already had 3 skin care items in my hands and I was ready to leave the store. It was super crowded and it looked like nobody was being helped at all. No smashbox tester products on display. I had to guess my shade, but I got lucky. It's not too bad. They didn't have my exact shade though. Going to 2 Faced next time. Still within rerun policy, might just return it. I think 2 Faced is more my color pallet and seemed creamier when I used it before.

It's nice that they have the massage, hand treatment and quiet room for everyone, no matter what you pay. They are also great because they work with everyone's budget. They have different tiers, $15, $30, $40, etc. so it was really easy to work into my budget. Maven is a lot different than any other place I've been to. The hair dressers don't have their own stations, which was strange to me. I'm used to places that feel more like you're at home. Even though Maven was a relaxing experience, it still just felt really uptight, if that makes sense. I may try it again in the future, but I feel like it might just be a one time experience for me.

I got the shampoo and conditioner bottles home and the pumps didn't work . I brought them back the next day and the salesperson went and tried to get me a bottle that opened and pumped. (I spent a 100 the day before not a lot but enough to be somewhat significant.). None of the bottles worked . I asked if she had pumps that I could have so I could use the product . We determined the pumps didn't fit but begrudging I figured I could use them . She said to the other clerk "I'll have to watch a YouTube video later to open them because I know they open" . I went to leave and she said I had to pay for the pumps ( 1.99) . I didnt have my wallet as I had expected to exchange them for working bottles. She said I had to pay . I said refund them . She couldn't do that. I would have to come back. Customer service is not their specialty today. No thinking about the customer. I returned something the day before because it didn't work but purchased even more because of how I was treated. 3 trips to have merchandise work is a bit much . I'm sure she/they thought I was ridiculous but as a business owner I would not want my customers to be treated like that. As the expression goes "Penny wise and pound foolish " You never know who will send you business or who won't . Be kind and giving .

The hair in the picture was shoulder length. When I walked out my hair was cut up to my chin. When I said it is shorter than it should be she said no it's not.
