I insisted to kept over night, they did, and at ~9 am my widow maker heart attack hit. They wheeled me to the stent room and had to wait in the hallway as the Dr in call was late for his shift. Then as he was ready to stent me he called to the attendent in the back of the room for a particualr stent # and he said "we don't have that one!" He asked what ones do you have and he named a few and he said I'll take that one. I had about half dozen Dr, walk into my room after, stayed a minute then left. Was never told anything then dumped to the curb 3 days later and billed $25K for Drs and $75K for hospital. Now to 2025 and went to an Urgent Care for intestinal blockage that need a CT scan. The Dr said Do Not Go to Hampton Carplex. I said I know and I won't. Went to Bon Secore Mary Immaculate ER and was taken right in. Good thing as I have a AAA I never knew about.

GREAT experience with all the doctors, nurses, and staff. After the operations, I was set up for cardiac rehab at the hospital for 3 sessions per week for 12 weeks. GREAT experience with the rehab nurses and their support. Constant EKG monitoring and blood pressure checks. I highly recommend Riverside. Absolutely nothing bad to say.

I was comfortable waiting when so had to, and my husband who ended up staying the night was well taken care of. The oncologist was also super nice as well (Dr. Chen I believe). My dad was well taken care of, so much so that my mom and I even made a Christmas basket for his nurses! They let me shampoo my dad's hair too with these really cool shampoo caps (don't you just love hospital knick knacks lol). All-in-all, the guest policy and treatment was above average, I've been admitted here before and I didn't enjoy the facility but I'm glad that my father was comfortable and supported.

But these people were compassionate, reassuring, respectful, and above all professional. I can't thank them ALL enough for their kindness, amazing customer service, and accommodating spirit. Our lives are in the hands of these skilled people when visiting, so having this experience would make me definitely recommend returning for any future surgery's, emergencies, or procedures. She was moved out to a regular room on March 2nd. She is still receiving the best care possible along with physical therapy. Also available is My Healthy Vet, which is the quickest way to communicate with your primary physician or the nurse for all of your needs, such as prescription refills, follow up appointments, regular appointments, medical orders for vet, messages, and consult extensions. Emergency room has other doctors assisting during daily working hours for a more efficient process. As always arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment and try to be patient....

I know not every veteran feels the same way about the VA, but my experience here has been overwhelmingly positive. I was able to attend the domiciliary program and participate in other programs and groups that really helped me get back on my feet. They have a women's clinic, a wide range of primary care doctors, and many specialty and subspecialty clinics, including kidney dialysis, diabetes care, pain management, mental health, X-rays, and mammograms. The campus also includes a nursing home, barber shop, restaurant, snack bar, emergency room, bank, post office, pharmacy, and lab--just to name a few. There's honestly so much available that it's hard to list it all. This VA helped me with housing, supported me through my disability process, got my healthcare organized, and ultimately helped change my life around. I was scheduled for a "routine" surgery for sleep apnea. The surgeon said I would be admitted to…read moreICU after surgery so my breathing and bleeding could be monitored. As I've been told by family and viewing my hospital records, that was not done appropriately. The night of surgery I was found on the floor in a puddle of blood, after the nurse had recorded in my chart that I was "resting comfortably in bed with the side rails up." That was at approximately 10:30-11pm. I was taken back to the operating room at 2pm the following day so the doctor could find where I was bleeding. When I woke up a week later, I was intubated. I had lost more than 25 pounds. I was in kidney failure, had multiple clots in all of my extremities and my lungs. I had suffered aspiration pneumonia, the beginning of a small bowel obstruction, Sepsis, cardiac irregularities, and 4 blood transfusions. After being discharged home, I was unable to care for myself for approximately a week. My fiancé had to bathe me, help me use the bathroom, and feed me. I now have PTSD and anxiety because of all that happened. I haven't worked in 6+ months. As a firefighter/medic, I view all that happened as medical negligence. I will NEVER recommend anybody using Mary Immaculate Hospital, not even my absolute worst enemy!
