They texted me today to inform n=me that their "team" reviewed my application (an application I…read morenever sent) and they would like to schedule an interview. I repeatedly texted back asking what the company name was so that I could pull my application and see what kind of position this was. They eventually emailed me a zoom meeting invite for the next morning, so I found the company name. This is a scam. They are preying on individuals that are seeking actual jobs with a commission only position with no benefits whatsoever. Sad thing is they don't just come out and tell you so that you can just decline, they try to fool you into sitting though their interview to attempt to talk you into attempting this job.

I received a call that went directly to my voicemail from an unknown telephone number. My phone…read moredoes not take unknown numbers so my phone didn't ring. The message was from a woman named Amanda representing the Tom Williams life insurance agency. The message was mr. Williams is interested in interviewing you and I was given the choice of two times 9:45 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. for the following day. The message also said details would be texted to me. When I receive the text, it only gave me the address of the place, what I should wear, and that compensation salary and position would be discussed at the interview. Since this all sounded kind of sketchy to me, I sent a text back politely asking what the position was for. I do not have experience selling insurance and I can't afford to work on commission which was why I needed to know what the position was for. My background is that of an office associate. I never got a response. I think it's unfair for businesses to do this. Sending out cold calls to get people to come in and not tell them what the position is for. People like myself are desperate for employment. Most of us do not have the extra money for gas or corporate clothing to commute 30 minutes to an interview without knowing what the position is for. Unfortunately this is not the only business doing these types of things.
