We chose The Harvest in Fowler, California, which was convenient to me, since I live in Fowler. This was the best decision we could've made. The Harvest was always clean and well kept. Most of the employees were long term, which says a lot about management and the owners. I cannot say enough in support of everyone, from Alex, the administrator, to Rosa, Nancy, Lilian, Rebecca, Melissa, Corina, Marivel and Loretta, just to name a few. Everyone was very patient, caring, kind and really went out of their way to give our mom and all the other residents the best care. And they always made me feel very welcome and sincerely cared about. Our mom recently passed away, and Alex and many others attended her funeral and came to my home after. I was caring for my mom for months prior to and following when she was placed on hospice, but it was becoming too much for me continue doing (if you're a caregiver reading this, you know that caregiving can be overwhelming). Her hospice provider recommended The Harvest in Fowler, which was very convenient for us because I live in Kingsburg. In addition to standard assisted living, The Harvest also has a certain number of rooms that are classified as hospice care. Alex, the Administrator, was able to give me a tour the same day that I got in contact with him, and I was very impressed with their facilities and services. They had an opening for a hospice room and we were able to get my mom moved in by the end of the same week. Although her time there was limited, my mom was in reasonable condition when she first moved in and really enjoyed interacting with some of the other residents as well as the staff. All of the other residents that I met were very happy with the meals, the staff, and all of the activities and amenities that are provided at The Harvest. My mom had her own room and bathroom, and even though her room was slightly smaller than her room in her apartment, we were able to fit most of her main belongings in there and decorate it to make it feel like home. While my mom was there, my son and I visited very frequently and the staff there made us feel very welcome whenever we were there. Alex and all of the staff at The Harvest are very professional and well-trained, and the staff were very compassionate and patient when caring for my mom. I highly recommend The Harvest if you are looking for a place in the Central Valley to care for your loved one.

We had the most amazing physical therapist, that truly cared and gave my mother the guidance she needed. The people in the office are a pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough how they go out of their way to help in any way they can. After therapy, they called to check to see how my mother was doing. It means the world to us to know that caregivers out there really do care. This is truly a company with heart.

The facility is comfortable and clean. The rooms give me privacy to work through my routines. They were very attentive to what I need and answered all the questions I posed about my PT. Kurt and the staff are "freindly professionals." I felt at ease but also was pushed to do PT correctly for maximum benefit. I was there for a spine condition so I had a high degree of pain and was anxious about how my body would respond. They were very reassuring and earned my trust quickly.

We had someone in house the very next day, and she was absolutely wonderful. She took exceptional care of my Mother and made sure she felt very comfortable throughout the process. Allie and Chris are very flexible and work with you to ensure your needs are met. They made things so much easier for us, and I felt better knowing I had them in place when it came time to leave my Mom and head home (3,000 miles away). In the review I spoke of the LVN Teresa Lehman . Through 7 months of going back and forth about medical care with my brother , many discussions and frustration on both of our sides I always feel it is necessary to update either way good or not so good . Teresa has listened and been receptive and not so receptive and I'm guilty of the same . We have definitely one thing in common the well being of my brother . She has stayed through arguments, discussions and we both want what is best for my brother's care and emotional well being and support . She is the only LVN in the facility and that a tremendous amount of care for one person and I now understand that . So I'd like to Thank Teresa for her unwavering commitment to a lot of residents my brother being only one of them . All though a person may lose their cognitive skills they are still there and it's just overwhelming for family . She has taken the time on her day off to go over things with us and I believe she does care about the profession she chose and it's a daily learning curve for all of us .
