The common areas, like the lobby and the restaurants, are not funky at all; they are just new and clean. The guest rooms can be quite funky as I explain later. Service All the staff members are professional and attentive, particularly the people at the front desk. They have a restaurant on site. They also serve really good breakfast, many items to choose from. It is only 15 Euro. Location It's in a quiet neighborhood. It's only five minute walk from the Schlossplaz, and additional five minutes to the Markt. If you're visiting the University (Universität des Saarlandes), you may want to consider staying closer to the station instead. Guest Room I could have had a problem with the shower. It's made of glass and next to the bed. I was fine because I was alone. If you're assigned to that room and share it someone you do not know very well, it could be very awkward. You can see someone taking a shower from the bed.
