I loved how she respected my no lip filler rule without making me feel bad with zero pressure, zero judgment, and zero FOMO. I mentioned possible recent sun exposure, and the nurse appropriately advised that we should wait for safety reasons. However, I was then told this would be considered a cancellation and that I would either forfeit my session or pay a $50 fee to keep it. That is completely unreasonable. Procedures that are unsafe should be treated as safety-related postponements, not standard cancellations. The situation escalated when the manager, Sarah M, got involved. She was immediately defensive, dismissive, and blamed me, claiming pre-appointment instructions are sent with each appointment reminder (see screenshot, they were not). She also said it's listed in the policy that if we can't do the procedure due to safety it's a cancellation (I have a saved PDF from today's date that does not say this). Instead of resolving the issue professionally, she was confrontational, unprofessional, and inconsistent with the information I was given. What was most concerning was that when I asked to reschedule safely or discuss options, she responded with "so you want me to do it then?", implying a willingness to proceed despite the known safety concern. That is extremely alarming. This is not how a reputable practice operates. Patients should never feel penalized for declining treatment due to safety concerns, and it should never be suggested to proceed under such circumstances. Due to the safety concerns and unprofessional conduct, I will be reporting this business to the appropriate regulatory boards, including the Medical Board of California, the California Board of Registered Nursing, and the Department of Consumer Affairs. I would not trust this practice with my care and will not be returning after this experience. (This review has nothing to do with my nurse, Odette, who is amazing.)

Anyway, the facial place is inside the Phenix Salon Suites (similar to Sola Salon Studio) its like a maze inside but hers isn't had to find. Basically a bunch of mini sized individual salons/facial places inside a small building. Hers was especially inviting. The ambiance was nice and the bedding looked super soft....it actually was super soft and cozy. We briefly went over the first time customer questionnaire and service offerings~I ended up getting the deep cleansing facial for $100 but was ok adding on an aqua facial for $10 (she felt I didn't need it so talked me out of it). Her pricing was decent~no frills at all and she seems honest~not the type that upsells you. Facial started with some salicylic acid application and exfoliation stuff...facial massages...extractions which she does purely by hand (I was super impressed with how good she was) and some other random stuff. Had some random talks with her during the facial and discovered we both like food and we're similar in age...so it was another plus. I must've dozed off at some point bc when it ended I was NOT READY to leave that cozy bedding......at the very end, I got a cup of hot quince tea which tied everything nicely together. Overall a very soothing session. I'll def be going back~I'm just still stuck on my current facial lady but whenever shes busy or if she suddenly retires, Chloe will be my go to.
