I am 36 weeks pregnant with my first and WILL NOT be using this OB for future pregnancies! Like the…read moreother review, I was bounced around from midwife to midwife, never saw the same person more than twice and only saw a doctor once. At my first appointment, I was 10 weeks and they asked me "why are you here?!" and laughed at me. Apparently I was there two weeks early but that is when I was scheduled for. Then they tried to charge me for that appointment even though all they did was check my weight and blood pressure! Then at my first real appointment (12 weeks now) the midwife had a hard time finding Robbie's heartbeat. She said "Oh, well I can't seem to find a heartbeat..." DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DOES TO A FIRST-TIME MOM??? I freaked out!!! Thankfully, she did eventually find a his heartbeat, though. At this appointment she had my thyroid levels tested because my thyroid felt enlarged. About a week later she called me to let me know my thyroid is hyperactive and this MEANT that my child WOULD have brain, heart, and developmental defects and that I would have to see a specialist. When I hung up the phone, I cried for at least an hour. She was so cold and made me feel hopeless. Then, I saw the specialist, who has done multiple ultrasounds, and has found no defects. When I told him what the midwife told me, he was appalled. He wanted me to have an antibodies blood test done. I asked if I could get this done at my OB's office he said no because the lab at the OB is often incompetent and often performs the wrong test!! A few weeks later this specialist ordered a c-section because my son was measuring too big to fit through the birth canal and attempting a vaginal delivery could result in needing to break my son's bones. A couple of weeks ago, I asked a midwife (Lois) if I would be guaranteed a c-section if I happened to go into labor before my scheduled c-section. To sum it up, she basically said that if she were at the hospital, she would try to talk me out of a c-section. She said I was choosing to have a c-section because it was easier for me and I was not taking my baby's well-being into consideration. She asked me why I wanted a c-section and I told her about my brother's birth complications and his life-long health complications that resulted from his birth. She looked at me like I was crazy. She was just downright rude! I've spoken to several other women and they can't stand Lois either. Just last week I had an appointment and they had no record of my visit! I waited in the waiting room for nearly an hour and had to show them my appointment card to prove I had an appointment because I was not scheduled in their system. When they finally called me into the examination room, they rushed me through my appointment. The lab tech had already closed the lab and acted frustrated that she had to set up the lab again to take my blood. She was very rude, rushed me through, and was extremely rough, causing a large painful bruise. This office could be okay if they trained their staff on proper communication and treating the patients with respect. They also need to be reminded that their patients have not been through medical school and they are scared. They need to be treated with compassion and need to have things explained to them in a caring way. I have actually had a few midwives and nurses that I really liked. Lynn is great, so is Dr. Francis. Stacie is very professional but her bedside manner needs some work. I LOVE EILEEN!!! She is so sweet but also professional and knowledgeable. I have heard from friends that Dr. Rolee (probably spelling it wrong) is great but I have not seen him. So the office really does have some good staff but some of the staff members are ruining it! I will most certainly not be seeing Lois again and the receptionist staff has been incompetent on more than one occasion. Looking for an OB? Look elsewhere or ask for Dr. Francis, Dr. Rolee, or Eileen. Ask lots of questions and make sure your appointment is scheduled on time and is ACTUALLY SCHEDULED. Good luck=)

When I was just a regular patient, I loved them too! Dr.Malik was the first doctor to suggest…read moreclomid and not say negative fertility things to me. I was happy. BUT when I got pregnant on my own, that when things changed. I am overweight and older. So I was classified as hi-risk. I rarely saw an actual doctor. I just got bounced around to different mid-wives. They fussed at me for gaining 1 pound in a month...and that's when I guess I started to get defensive. The next month, I was rubbed raw trying to find the baby's heart beat and the mid-wife didn't seem to care. She didn't say sorry or stop when I was almost in tears and there was blood from being rubbed raw. I know I am overweight, but this was the miracle baby I had waited for...I wasn't going to do anything to sabotage my baby's health or mine during pregnancy. When I finally saw a doctor, he was very knowledgeable, but had no bedside manner. He was shocked that when he said c-section, I requested stitches instead of staples. (I have 3 other overweight friends who had issues with their staples so I didn't want that.). I had to wait over an hour twice for blood work because of "miscommunications" as they call it because the blood drawer was confused once and didn't see me the other time. Billing department wasn't much better. They demanded money for future services, but wouldn't bill me until later. I have to have a bill to turn into my flexible medical spending account department. When I told them that, they acted like I was crazy. By the time they billed me, I didn't owe them much since all the copays and deductible had been satisfied by the hi-risk doctor instead. I would go back to see Dr. Reynolds. He was the most patient and sympathetic person I saw. Gina, the mid-wife, was sweet as well. I wish the doctors' office would understand that first time mothers are scared and anxious. We aren't trying to be difficult...we are nervous. A little kindness and bedside manner goes a long way!

This hospital is the worst. My husband arm repeatedly comes out of place. The first time I was told…read moreno one could be in the room with him during the procedure. Then allowed in and signed consent for treatment. On today 12/5 Dr. T.C Roepke, The nurse Lashante (who has the worst disposition known to man) and Dionne (who was quite pleasant) all present in the room refused to allow me to stay in the room. Dr. T.C Roepke and Lashante both at the same time began telling me "I don't care/know what happened in the past I would not be allowed to stay present with my husband on today". I asked so "are y'all denying me the right as his spouse not to be present in the room?". I was told yes again by both Dr. Roepke and Lashante before they closed the door. A previous doctor at the hospital told me as the spouse I had a right to be in the room. Dr. Roepke and Lashante both gave sarcastic comments when exiting the room and Dr. Roepke stated You can thank me for putting his arm back and threw his hands up. SOOOOOOOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL, Absolutely disturbing treatment and I guess they don't care because there are no consequences. As a journalist I will ensure my colleagues that write on these types of unfair/mistreatments among LBGT is brought to the light. WELLSTAR DOUGLASVILLE IS THE WORST!!!!!

I wish I could give no damn stars. This is the most incompetent, ignorant, retarded, goofy, ghetto,…read moredumbasses, staff I've ever seen. I'm new here to Georgia but I regret ever coming to this hospital the few times I had to because I don't know where else to go but I can assure you this will be my last time. They seem to be mentally challenged staff here that act like they're lost and don't know what hat to do. Slow, incompetent and just shoot you up with meds. I swear sometimes they stop to leave all the patients to go to lunch and dinner. They need to go sure, but all at once. These are the most goofy bunch of people I've ever seen and they seem to never know what they're doing and constantly looks lost, loose the patients, never check on you like they should, have attitudes, dirty er room, stinks, and very incompetent. This place really gets no stars from me. They had in the news where hospitals got different grades on service and appearance. If they included this one the whole staff would be fired and the hospital shut down. This place is unbelievable!!!
