That's how good Dr. Carter is, and I'm not exaggerating. All of the staff were friendly, professional, kind and helpful. The office was very nice, bright, and well kept, with a large and comfortable waiting room and plenty of off street parking. Waiting times were minimal. I'm so glad I found them and it is well worth the drive from Cottonwood or Sedona to get there.

Dr. Mackey has a knack for giving pain free novocaine shots, a talent I appreciate a lot. When I had an emergency, he fit me into the schedule that day! Now THAT'S service! As my 'kid filings' age, I am able to have more and more confidence in the work Dr. Mackey may HAVE to do, based on the great work he's already done. I'm grateful to him and his staff for all their kindness and professional service. And here's a nice bonus: each exam room looks out to a courtyard which has plants, flowers and beautiful nature to observe while in the chair; a wonderful distraction!

What do you look for in a dentist?…read more 1. I look for someone who puts people over profit. We've all heard horror stories where a dentist recommends unnecessary work to enhance their bottom line while emptying your pockets. Dr. Bingham doesn't do that: He's sensitive to the financial needs of his patients and only recommends essential dental treatment. 2. I don't want a dentist that is heavy handed and causes pain when maneuvering in my delicate mouth or making me flinch when administering a shot. Dr. Bingham doesn't do that: He has a light touch and a comforting bedside manner. I can't even remember him ever causing me pain even during a difficult procedure. There was one time I needed a tooth pulled and he got it out in less than a minute without me even realizing the tooth had been pulled. 3. I look for a dentist who doesn't shame me for the condition of my dental health. I avoided going to the dentist for many years to my current detriment because in my past previous dentists would make me feel bad for not taking better care of my teeth. I already felt negligent and their attitude just added insult to injury. Dr. Bingham doesn't do that: When Dr. Bingham tells me what needs to be repaired with my teeth he does it with compassion. He's a straight shooter yet I've never felt blame, judgement or shame coming from him which keeps me coming back. 4. Most of all, I look for a dentist I can trust because let's face it, sitting in a dental chair with my mouth pried wide is a vulnerable experience often eliciting fear! I need a dentist who I can trust has the expertise, knowledge and stellar skills that Dr. Bingham demonstrates so when all is said and done, I can get up from that chair feeling better not worse. For all of these reasons and more, I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Bingham and his friendly and professional staff at Verde Smiles! Laurie Jude
