Before retaining Plastiras, I told him I had limited funds and discussed that he was to 'limit' his billing, not 'double-bill' and to be prudent. Plastiras agreed and I retained him. What a mistake!!! Plastiras proved incompetent on the legal matters and was clearly in it for the 'billing'. He literally tried to bankrupt me which advocating incompetently. He 'hired' his daughter who had just graduated from law school and was searching for a 'real' job. Plastiras billed her out at $350.00 per hour (for a new attorney). Plastiras is neither knowledgeable or professional (often late - and COMPLETELY unprepared). 6 months prior to my Trial and I had to terminate Plastiras (he couldn't even take a deposition properly). There are lots of attorneys out there who will advocate for you and who are not in the practice solely for money - Plastiras is not one of them. Do not retain.
