This is a 3-hour restaurant and these are 3 hours you will replay in your head. The full play-by-play. You start with cocktails or wine at the bar and stare at the fantastic decoration. You move to a table, and order many many dishes (because they are nice) - we had the Jerusalem artichokes, the pate, the jamon and fig, a gorgeously simple green salad, a roasted pig and the bark-wrapped trout, the sweets, the sticky wines... great portions and fantastic dishes (creamy pate with pickled cherries, the artichokes were finger licking good, the jamon and gorgeous figs.. ...enough, you get the point...).
Staff were fantastic, and I only wish the wine selection was slightly better balanced. However, our host pointed us to a really really good Mataro.
