My landlord file for an eviction on my apartment. We was served by the Clark County Sheriff with…read morethe eviction notice, (Which I still have). I payed in full according to what the eviction papers said and gave it to the landlord on the 25th of August in the form of a cashiers check from PNC Bank in Clarksville, Indiana. On October 3rd while my wife was in the hospital with stroke like symptoms I went to the apartment because we had been at the hospital for three days. At 3:45pm October 3rd I went to the apartment to take a shower and the locks where changed and my alarm was and cameras where taking out of the wall. I went to the front and back door thinking maybe I'm just tired and I'm using my key wrong. One of the maintenance guys approached me and asked me is there a problem I replied yes. I can't get into my apartment which than he said we been evicted. I told him why we having received a notice he said we did it was put on our door which I know not to be true because I have the video from my camera that was on the door on my phone for that entire month. I went into the rent office and asked the landlord why are we evicted without notice she said we where notified and served by the sheriff August and even though we payed the rent the next month rent had rolled over and was already posted so they didn't cancel the first eviction. They also stated that they took my dog and it's over a friends house and they wouldn't tell me exactly where only told me about good of a dog she is. We are now forced to sleep in our truck and I had to call the police to get my wife medication that she needs and my work badge. My son is devastated because not only is that dog apart of our family it's also used to comfort my son which struggles with manic depression and was used to comfort him. My wife which have a bone disease is forced to sleep in our truck because we wasn't able to make arrangement to find somewhere to go. Please help.... My number is (502)-910-0432 and my name is Walter Smith. You can call me anytime. Thank You In Advance

We bought a new home and had been living there for a year and a half when we realized that the…read moreoutdoor sewer pump station that our sewer flows to was owned by our neighbor instead of the town. It needed to be replaced and we offered to pay half of the costs. The neighbors wanted us off the pump though and threatened to cut our sewer line. We had a remote initial consultation with Jason Lopp to discuss our options. After talking with Jason, we asked him to send a letter of engagement and said that we would sign it and send the retainer when we got back into town. However, while we were out of town for work, the neighbors cut our sewer line making our home unlivable on December 14th. We tried to work out an arrangement with the neighbors (at least as a temporary solution) but they verbally threatened us so the cops had to be called. We contacted Jason Lopp's office to let them know that things had escalated with the neighbors and we were told that they "were very busy" and "couldn't help us until after the first of the year". This was a week before Christmas. So, we had no sewer and the attorney who had sent us an engagement letter and had agreed to help us, changed his mind. Obviously, we were unable to find any attorneys around during that the holidays and were stuck with no sewer through Christmas and New Year's. I thought dropping us a week before Christmas was very unprofessional and uncaring thing to do especially given our circumstances. No apologies were given or sympathetic words provided. Then, we received a bill for $442 in January. It was an autogenerated invoice, so I thought maybe it had been sent to me in error. No, I was told that we owed Jason Lopp for the initial consultation and email exchange for when we found out our sewer had been cut. It's not the money that has caused me to write this review (because I paid it), it's that we desperately needed help, we're told he would help, then he dropped us a week before Christmas so we had no chance of finding someone else, and then got charged for the inconvenience. I will never recommend this firm to anyone.
