I have very thick, frizzy Asian hair and it took me a couple salons before finding Seda. I will never go to anyone else but her in LA for my keratin treatment. Seda exclusively uses Goldwell Kerasilk, which is formaldehyde-free so there's no strong chemical smell when the 2-3 hour long process (depending on my hair length) is being done. Not only is Seda amazing at de-frizzing my hair, but she also cuts it in a way where it just falls into place and grows out perfectly in the months to come. I have this weird wave on the right side so Seda uses extra product in that problem area. She's very meticulous! My hair is always so much more manageable post treatment and cut. The long treatment process also always seem to fly by with Seda because she's so personable and somehow always remembers details in my life from my prior appointments (which are fairly far apart). Just had a keratin treatment for the first time ever! Seda did a great job--she's quick and efficient. My hair came out amazing, curly frizzy hair is now SO straight! My hair is very soft, has lots of bounce and body, and I've been getting compliments on it since! It dries faster than ever and has cut my blow dry time in half, maybe more. Tears of joy for not being a slave to my unruly hair--it really is a miracle. Mind you, it's not permanent, but she fully disclosed that before booking me, but should last for months. I'm incredibly disappointed. I absolutely hate to leave negative reviews, unless it is really genuinely bad. I have been doing keratin treatments for more than 5 years now. I moved to LA from Miami and so I am here and (still) looking for a hairdresser. My experience with Seda is by far the worst. The treatment cost $200 and after the first wash my hair looked EXACTLY the same AND yes, I use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. To top off the experience, I have had bangs for the past 9 years of my life and Seda literally chopped them up when I asked to have them trimmed. She even went so far as to blame me for not having told her what I wanted to do with my bangs! Which I did, I explained that I wanted them trimmed. I'm too embarrassed to even upload a picture and have had to keep my hair pulled back. I asked Seda to reimburse me for a treatment that SO clearly did NOT work and she denied my request. She did not even offer a partial refund. I refuse to have her touch my hair a second time. I am extremely devastated as I feel like I spent $200 to get my hair COMPLETELY ruined. read more

I've been wanting to get a keratin treatment for the longest time, but couldn't find the right place to do it. Through word of mouth, I found Seda. I finally got my keratin treatment with her and I couldn't be happier with my decision. My hair was always puffy and frizzy. I had natural curls but they never looked decent because the frizz would take over (unless I had tons of product in my hair). Now, I can leave my hair to air-dry and not worry about it getting puffy after 30 minutes. Love Seda. She colours my hair, and I also got a keratin treatment with her on my shoulder-length, mega-thick, coarse curly hair. The keratin is pretty extraordinary: for a few days, my hair was basically straight, though with my big, coarse curls it was never going to be floppy, shiny straight - just big, thick, foofy straight. And after a few washes, the curls began to come back as heavy waves, which is exactly what I wanted. I have been doing brazilian blowout forever, and wanted to switch to a product that didn't have poison in it and burn my scalp, my throat and eyes. I recommend the Kerasilk done by Seda. She is very reasonable, she had quoted me $250 after looking at my pictures on the phone (so easy you can text her and she always replies) and I said sure. In person, she said oh you're hair is finer, it should be $200, so on her own she reduced her own price without me asking. She's very honest. I would say that with this product you definitely still have to blowdry, but only for 10 minutes versus the 30 and when you do, it looks so much better than the brazilian because you retain your body. It's up to you she will get you the products (shampoo, leave-in, treatment which are not cheap but she gets you a better price) I am using them to see. She is also very fair with her prices and a very kind person. I do think Kerasilk is the way to go! read more
