¡No contraten!

Son unos sinverguenzas! read more
Do you need a security alarm in Spain? Most of the time you don't - Spain is one of the safest countries in the world, safer than the US and Germany combined :))) But if you need one, there's Seguritas Direct. I'm sure it's one of the Spain's leading providers by market share. Probably even "número uno" but I didn't check. They offer an app to manage the alarm. You can turn it on and off, check current status, view pics in real time etc. Convenient and well built. Probably the most important thing is that they have guards who are in the area 24/7/365 and will visit the place if the alarm goes off. They will be there in a few minutes. Another interesting feature they offer is a system that would emit fumes in case of an intrusion and make it really hard to find and steal anything (activated by their staff distantly when they decide it is necessary). On the downside - really wrong attitude to managing their sales reps. A guy explained everything, did the sale (it is not easy to sell this kind of stuff) and it was agreed he would call next day. Next day another guy just comes early and installs it (thought they were connected somehow). Then the first guy calls to ask when he should be coming to install. Shit, everything is already there istalled and running! Well deserved sale lost for the first guy. I don't think this is normal at all. Still recommended. Price - 59€ paid monthly. read more

My alarm would not set yesterday morning when I was in a rush, however I received an email that the alarm went off at that time. There was no sound. I returned from work around 7pm and didn't turm off the alarm because as far as I knew, the alarm was never turned on. A short while later the police came to my door and asked for identification. I showed them the email from 8 am. (I received no further communication from Securitas after 8am) After the police left Securitas called me and said that the alarm was still going off but they couldn't turn it off without my password. The only password that I had was Spanish that the technician wrote and they said that wasn't correct. They emailed me a form which consisted of Contract number, id number, name. I emailed them back a photo of my id with the contract number (as I have no printer at home and couldn't fill in the tiny spaces on my phone with my finger. I wanted the alarm off because they said, "we see you sitting in the livingroom." And when I would pass through the hallway on my way to the bathroom the red light would come on indicating that the camera was on. I have never felt such a VIOLATION OF PRIVACY. Securitas kept calling and asking for my password. I explained that I didn't know it, that the police had come and checked my id. And they would not turn off the alarm or the cameras. Sat am they called again and said that the alarm was still going off. Of course they had to transfer my call because a different deparment takes care of the passwords. Anyway, he said that they were missing my signature and as soon as I sent the email, he would call back with the password and turn off the system. He NEVER CALLED back. I went out and when I came home in the afternoon, they started calling again and asking for my password. Clearly they don't read notes or communicate with each other. I had to speak with the password department again. This time he said a photo of my ID was missing. Sent in email 1. "Oh, There it is." YES So he gives me the passwords and they are in Spaninsh and as I am American, I 100 percent know that I did not forget my passwords! I asked to speak with a manager and he refused to transfer my call. We hung up and 15 minutes later someone called and asked fir my password and if I would like to have my alarm turned off. Oh My God, you have got to be kidding me! But I said it is off already and she said, "let me check, oh yes, it is" In the end, I feel like it is a big company where the left hand doesn't know what they are doung. They were unorganized and unprofessional. I do NOT recommend this company. read more
