The friendly beertender (who I believe was also one of the owners) explained that they're well known for their "weird" beer flavors here. But being more of a purist myself, I was glad to see they had non-weird options as well. There was also a fantasy football draft going on so I caught this place the day it was very active. There was a nice listing of beers on the wall by the bar. I went with the Dragonfruit, I'm not a big beer drinker so I try to go towards some that don't have that much of a beer taste. It did the job, fruity & smooth. I enjoyed my time while I was up there being interviewed & having an idea on how the whole place can be active with a packed house.

It came on a pile of potato wedges, which were also made well with crispy-ish outsides and soft insides. The fish on top of them limited the crispness of the outsides, but didn't lower the score. With a squeeze of grilled lemon and some malt vinegar it was pretty close to perfection. It may take a trip to Jolly Old England to beat it, and I've had F&C in England and Ireland so I can at least compare it to the good stuff.

They used a lot of what I'm assuming was an old brick building mixed with reclaimed wood. The rooftop houses several igloos of various sizes. Our host had ordered two charcuterie boards for us to snack on while we enjoyed drinks and conversation. I enjoyed making a bite with the cracker, cheese, salami and a piece of fruit. I got the Demogorgon Coffee Stout, because I'll admit...I just liked the name, and I enjoy a good dark beer. You could definitely taste the bitter notes of the coffee with the sweet tanginess of cherry and at a 9.4%, it is a good sipping beer. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive even though they had a packed rooftop of patrons. They had a nifty touch light that you tap on to signal the wait staff that you needed something or were ready to order up something.
