I didn't give it 5 stars just because the service is a little slow but considering this is mellow city and high holiday season, I believe they did a good job, especially keeping us updated on how long it would take for our food to arrive. I can recommend this restaurant.

We arrived and walked in, it was quite busy, we grabbed a place at a long bar with stools, and then went to the bar and ordered drinks. We weren't going to eat, but we looked at the menu and saw what the other patrons were eating and it looked quite good. We sat and enjoyed the view and our cocktails. I want to come back and have a meal, but it's a great spot just for a drink with a view!

The restaurant is really small (probably sits less than 50 people) but serves an array of amazing seafood dishes. The service was fast (I went for lunch) and the food was fantastic. I got the Lulu a Dore (Grilled calamari) which came out about 8 minutes after I ordered. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have ordered this because my main course (Seafood risotto) was enormous. The prices are listed for 2 people but you can get individual portions. That being said, the individual portion would have been more than enough for 2 people. The seafood risotto itself was fantastic. I wouldn't really call it a risotto. More like a seafood with rice dish. The sauce was a tomato based broth which worked perfectly with the clams, mussels, squid and shrimp that were found in the dish. If I ever come back, I will most certainly stop by here again.

The owner had seen us having trouble and came out with an umbrella. He let us park in an easy spot across the street and gave us the umbrella so we could keep dry on the walk over. A small but very sincere gesture and the start of a truly magical dining experience! The service was excellent and they helped to get us seated right away. Drinks ordered up and delicious by the way! The apps were unique and very upper end takes on some very simple dishes. Simple and fresh ingredients magically combined! For the main course I could not hold myself. I saw the Rockford gnocchi and had to try it, but I then saw the grilled octopus.... I ordered both and they were both truly amazing. The octopus was truly sublime! I cannot speak highly enough for the service and the quality of the food that we were served. They helped to make a family event truly an exceptional experience!
