It was wonderful advice! Sweet, dedicated members. Their version of contemporary music is terrific. Their band director, Duane, is an open hearted, common sense gentleman that plays a mean guitar. They welcomed me with open arms. I was later recruited by my son's den leader to join the choir. OMG! Another fabulous perspective. The Music Director earned a Doctorate in Vocal Music at the U-Dub while working with us. Ryan can direct many instruments & lead singing in many octaves. He has a great sense of humor & an open mind. He also introduced us to Jazz Compline Services on every Second Sunday during the school year. Very refreshing. I "dragged" my youngest son (who with his Asperger's was being discriminated against at our neighboring Catholic church -- by the same leader) to join the youth program & then choir. He did very well in learning & expanding... also made many friends. The messages, sermons & homilies are entertaining as well as fulfilling. Their Easter Vigil is one of my favorites. The children do the readings. It begins outside, lighting candles, goes into the Bristol Hall for readings, then to baptisms with refreshing our own in the Narthex & on to the Glory & contemporary Easter music by the Altar. Young & old join in the songs & ringing bells in celebration! Now, y'all can tell that I LOVE music. But Saint Margaret's keeps all in mind. There is an early service on Sunday mornings at 7:15 with no music (quick & to God's point!) Then the contemporary Sojourners Praise Band at 8:45. Finishing with the Traditional Choir at 11:00. Communion is even open minded! They have bread for most along with gluten free at need. IOW this is a church for any & all "God Fearing & Loving" types of good people. Redemption is easy to find at Saint Margaret's. Oh & race or base are all welcome. God is here for everyone.

While I live a good distance away from this church, and actually tried to find another church…read morecloser to home, I could not find a place to worship that fits me as well as St. Margaret's. I especially love the worship music which is led by their praise band, Sojourners every Sunday. (They also have traditional music at a later service) The liturgy is a beautiful blend of the old and new and is relevant and meaningful. There are fun activities for everyone; singles, families, kids and they welcome everybody, as we are all God's children. There are numerous options for kids of all ages, from nursery care to relevant youth activities. Adult Education is thought provoking and interesting, touching on a wide range of subjects. Lastly, Outreach works with people and issues in the community, close to home, with emphasis on homelessness, hunger and housing. I've been a member here for a long time and cherish my church family. It's easy to get to, especially on Sunday mornings, just off of 405. Now if I could just quit stopping in at Nordstrom Rack on my way home! (The church is 2 blocks from Factoria Mall)

We are very happy to have found a place that allows us to help our kids on their journey in their faith. The parish is filled with kind people and offers many activities for men, women, families, seniors, and children. The only thing that is hard for us is that catechism class involves parents as well and with 4 kids in the house we are often stretched in having one of us available for class. This is different for us as we are use to having only the children go to class. However, they do have a great nirsery ran by volunteers for the littlest guys. The church itself is beautiful and set with the pulipit being center and the pews set up in the round. Plenty of parking available.

There are numerous aspects of the Church I have enjoyed including Covenant Circles, Seabeck retreats, and academically oriented courses. I have also found some life long friendships here.

I love this cute little church because it has a great event that brings everyone together. They have annual apple cider event around September. You can pick apple from the trees right at the back of the church, wash, chop, and squeeze with a cool manual machine they have. Kids love this event. You will see people with different ages, races and religions making the cider together and that make me feel good. You also can look at their beautiful community garden. Anyone can be a part of the garden. You don't have to be Christian to join. Kids also can learn how to quilt from volunteer at the events.
