Our technician, Nick, from Superior HVAC came out and checked everything out. He told my husband he'd let him know what he found out as he wanted to look into some error codes he found. He contacted my husband that same evening. He came back a second time and was on the phone with the manufacturer of our AC unit. I went to Murthy's about giving two of my machines a tune up, as well as getting a lesson on the…read morebasics of the one I bought from them many moons ago. I have to admit that I was BLOWN back when I got the bill for the tune-ups- $70 for the old one, and $80 for the "new" one, which to this day I have not used at all. I was not exactly charmed by the cost, to say the least. Murphy has all kinds of machines for sewing and embroidery. It's really fascinating to watch. As far as the "orientation" on my MACHINE goes, it hasn't happened yet (again). It is my opinion that it should be Murphy who contacts their customers and makes an appointment for this service, and not the other way around.

The manual made no mention of the wick and it looked like a clump of lint so I dug it out while cleaning the bobbin cage. After a few email messages and phone calls, I found out I should replace it and found this place online and they carry the wick for my machine. They were very responsive and answered my questions promptly. I ordered the wick online from them via PayPal and also bought another lint brush. Both were inexpensive and it was the postage, under $5 that cost the most. The package arrived in 3 business days. I clipped a piece of the wick, stuffed it into the middle opening, added a couple drops machine oil. Very pleased with their help and speedy service.
