I have a Sears warranty plan. Sears repairman came to my home to repair my oven . All five burners on top worked fine. The oven would not work. After taking everything apart he finally said the part was incompatible and placed the stove back together and left. I called the repairman and told him that he made the situation worse as now I can't cook as he has stopped the top burners from lightning and the electric cord is beyond my reach and 2 knobs are now broken, he said . I will be back Tuesday and will order new knobs.This repairman left with 2 broken knobs, none of the burners working but the worst part , He left the gas on, Me in the house not knowing for over 5 hours. My daughter came by and alerted me of the gas smell I called the gas company and they turned off the gas. I have not been able to cook in over 5 days. I hate the thought of him returning and knowing that he left me in a house full of gas pure negligence on his part. But I have to have my oven and now stove fix . and I pay monthly for Sears warranty plan. read more

My husband and I bought a house in 2023. We were told by the previous owners that the dishwasher had a warranty and that it was in the process of being fixed. Great. At first the service department was helpful, they sent out 3 different services to try and fix the dishwasher. Eventually they deemed the dishwasher "unfixable". They sent a voucher to my husband to apply to a new dishwasher, unfortunately the voucher expired in 30 days and my husband had no idea they had sent it til after it expired. He called and explained the situation. They said that they had to send a new service person to come out to state that the dishwasher was "unfixable". This went on for months. We had over 5 different people come out to say the dishwasher was unfixable. My husband had to miss work on more than one occasion to meet a service worker at the house. As of August of 2024 we have been fighting with SEARS to get a new voucher. The most recent push back now is to say the warranty is expired, though the warranty doesn't expire til August of 2025. We have thought about suing. At this point it is October 2024 and it's been over a year since this all started. I highly recommend avoiding buying anything from SEARS as they do not honor the warranty agreement and will drag their feet. read more

I called sears to order a part for my washing machine on 8/9. At first they told me the part was going to be 59.99. I should have just hung up the phone right then because everywhere else listed it online for between 28 to 30 dollars. I told him this, and he dropped the price down to 32 and change plus shipping. It took 5 business days to get the part in. I was told that it would be delivered by UPS. I received an email from UPS stating that it had been delivered. After 20 minutes of asking the neighbors if they signed for it, calling the apt office, and calling my wife I still couldn't find the package. I finally discovered it was delivered by UPS via USPS? I went to the mailbox and retrieved the package. When I got back to the apartment and opened it up, guess what was inside... Absolutely nothing at all! I called sears to tell them about this, and they said they would ship another one but that it would take another 5 to 7 business days. I told them I wanted overnight shipping, and they said they don't do that, but if they did it would cost extra! I asked for a refund of my order, and I will never shop at another sears again! read more

We bought a washer, dryer and a very expensive refrigerator from Sears. The salesman insisted we buy the warranty for all or we would regret it. I did not feel that the price of what they charge for the warranty was fair so I didn't buy it. The washer went out exactly 1 month after the warranty ran out. They sent a service man to find the problem. Not only did he charge $125. for the call, the part was going to be that much too. We paid the $125.00 and didn't get it repaired. (The balance bar had broken so it danced all over the floor when it went into a spin) Then just after the refrigerator was out of warranty, the door that dispensed the ice broke. My husband went on line and figured out how to repair it himself. I will never buy another appliance from Sears. read more
