Seagull Mountain Resort Cafe is one of those go-to stop overs when you're headed to Mati or CDO. It's an hour and a half - two hours outside of Davao and it's located at Buda. It's usually windy and cool there so it's a really nice place to have some coffee and just look over the mountains!
They actually have a wide selection of food considering they're so far off from cities. BUT the only flaw is that, sometimes they don't have the dish that you want exactly because they don't have the ingredients. While most of the dishes I've tried are actually a 4.5/5 for my palette, another con is that it takes forever to serve. You'd have to wait 40mins-1 hour for your food and the only thing they'll give you before your meal is complimentary sliced French bread. Which is CRAP (do not eat it). So if you want to try eating here I suggest you eat something beforehand just to fill in your stomach.
I've tried their gisang bihon, boneless bangus, chicharon bulaklak, and their blue berry cheesecake! Price would be a little more expensive than you'd expect (again it's because they're so far from the city). But you won't regret it. Service is okay... Sometimes their waiters don't like taking extra orders cause of the number of customers they have, that's probably the only thing that pissed me off. But some of them actually really do cater to your wants and needs.
Don't forget to try their healthy mixed juices! It's one bottle for 180 pesos. I personally love the Strawberry, kiwi, coconut water, beets, cucumber and calamansi juice! I'd recommend the restaurant for the food but not really so much for the service. read more
