Decided to be a tourist in my own city and enjoy one of the last warm days of summer. One cool thing about Seadog cruises is that if you look at some of the specific offerings, you can bring your dog! Which of course, I totally did. There are multiple ways to get to navy pier, so choose your own adventure. Just be mindful that if you choose to park, there are other garages near for an extra 10 minute walk for a third of the price. Or consider public transit. Pay your own expense parking at navy pier itself. Scheduling online is a breeze and if you're able to go on a weekday, the tickets tend to be a bit cheaper. However, I definitely feel I got my bang for my buck with the experience. Jake was our guide and had all the best of the cheesiest jokes while educating us about Chicago history and its architecture. When the boat locks are up, they will do some spins on the water so you get different views. It's awesome! We luckily didn't have a super crowded trip so seating wasn't an issue. I will definitely consider going back again to see what info I retained/what info Jake changed.

The staff, very engaging, left on time. We took the architectural tour. Learned alot about the beautiful buildings that surround Lake Michigan.

I had an amazing experience! I can't wait to try the extreme ride where they do 360° donuts. They take you out on the lake to explore both the north and south sides of Chicago, providing a great history of all the buildings. This is a fantastic family experience, especially on a warm day, as you might get a little wet. However, the front of the boat is the driest, while those at the rear can expect to get soaked! it's a good price for family, fun entertainment, the duration is about 30 minutes and it goes by quick so try to enjoy it and take lots of pictures

We took the 30 minute speedboat tour and loved it! Sit up front if you don't want to get wet. DJ, our guide, was funny and knowledgeable.

Great tour. A little pricey for my taste. We know to look for deals next time before we show up to Navy Pier.

People in Amsterdam will also ask if you have done a canal boat tour - and you have to do these when you visit these cities. Our docent volunteer guide, Steve, was excellent. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the city's riverside buildings and its history. The boat staff was also hardworking and ready to help with any issues, from getting a drink at the boat's downstairs bar to handing out covers when the rain hit us. For what we paid, the 1.5 hour tour was more than worth it. I recommend sitting at the top towards the back, as you don't have to crane your neck as much when he points out places of interest. This was a truly wonderful experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Not a must see or do attraction but a great day filler activity as you explore the city. Loved the wealth of information they offer as it's valuable to understand Chicagos importance from the ground up! I thought it would be more about highlighting the amazing architectural buildings around the city but nothing like that. It's was more about the environmental impact the city has and the hurdles when designing buildings around town. The staff were friendly at check in and provided great service overall as they were kind and helpful. Small center that you may explore at your own pace and may or may not be worth the admission price. But scoring free tickets it allowed us to be selective in our day or day plans to include the activity to pay it a visit!

We decided to take the water taxi from the Chicago Riverwalk all the way to Chinatown, and it was such a cool way to experience the city from a different perspective. Rather than taking an Uber or using traditional public transportation, we figured why not enjoy the scenery along the way? Before boarding, one of the employees informed us that the ride to Chinatown would take approximately 45 minutes. However, in my opinion, it felt much closer to 30 minutes! Either way, we weren't in a rush, and Chinatown was our first stop of the day, so the travel time wasn't an issue for us at all. The ride itself was enjoyable, and being able to see the city from the water made the journey feel like a little sightseeing excursion rather than just transportation. Plus, at only $10, I thought it was a great value for the experience! Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Chicago Water Taxi, especially if you're planning to visit Chinatown from the Riverwalk and have some extra time to spare. My advice: If you're not in a rush, skip the usual transportation and take the scenic route! It's an affordable, relaxing, and memorable way to see another side of Chicago.

Best deal. Our tour guide was happy, energetic, and very knowledgeable about Chicago because he was born and raised there. We chose the 75 minute, 4pm Chicago River tour and it covered a lot! We never lost interest and learned about Chicago's history. It is well worth it! Our Architecture River Tour boat departed from the dock at Navy Pier. We learned that their boats are the most accessible at this location. Their boats can accommodate wheelchairs up to 30-inches wide. Your wheelchair must be able to navigate a ramp with a 2-inch step at one end. I needed one that was kind to my knees. Best to call them for more details. They were very helpful whenever we called them. Their boats are both double-decker and single-level boats, and there is generally no protection from the sun, rain, or wind. There is a small bar on the main level. Restrooms are located on the lower deck, which is accessible only via stairs from the upper deck. Enjoy! It's amazing!
