After we finished, we paid our bill in full (including a 20% tip, despite the poor service) and left calmly. As we were walking to our car, MELISSA ran after us and questioned whether we had paid. This was not only embarrassing, but deeply upsetting. There was no attempt to verify with staff first, just an immediate assumption directed at us. As a server myself, I know how situations like this should be handled, and this was not it. Being singled out and approached this way, especially after already experiencing noticeably different treatment inside the restaurant, felt like profiling and discrimination.
